I posted earlier on the OT. I was supposed to fly out of Denver today but southwest canceled my flight. I rebooked with them for a flight tomorrow. They just canceled the flight tomorrow now! Wtf! I’m starting to get pissed... I immediately went and booked another flight tomorrow with United instead of southwest. Now I have to get on the phone for like 80 minutes to get my money back from southwest and hope United doesn’t come and cancel their flight now too.

There's still a 9:50am flight that is scheduled for tomorrow and a 9:20pm. United has 3 nonstops tomorrow, take the refund and get home. If you really want to fly southwest we can find a better routing.

The 9:20pm flight has 1 seat left on southwest. How many people are you trying to get back?

I don’t really care about flying southwest at this point. Im just going to stick with my 5:40pm flight with United as of now. If this one gets canceled I’m going to lose it

start thinking about a one way car rental if United cancels.. after experiencing the southwest melt earlier this year, would be very hard pressed to get me on a domestic flight again anytime soon.

We have a Disney World trip departing 8am Sunday morning Jan 23rd from South Bend with a layover in Chicago with United.

Right now I am terrified of flight cancelations.

I’m trying to get back just myself to New Orleans. At this point I don’t want a southwest flight

I apologize for the honesty but I really don't get your surprise or frustration here.

Covid fear, winter weather, plus Holiday issues are all combined here to make flying a cluster.

Its simply a terrible time to fly and not expect some delays. Everyone needs to give themselves significant time for schedule deviations.

Aren't you rebooked on United already?

I’m not overly surprised, I had actually somewhat prepared for it. But to actually have it happen and be stuck in a foreign city is still frustrating none the less.

South Bend with a layover in Chicago

I was first surprised this route even exists, but I was even more surprised to learn this flight is 1h8m. I realize the traffic in Chicago makes it a longer trip than it should be, but considering 0 people on that flight will have ORD as their final destination, you'd think they would connect at a different hub

Indeed. We did comparisons to just driving to ORD and taking a direct flight.

Parking at SBN and flying through ORD is cheaper than driving to Chicago and parking at ORD for a direct flight to Orlando. It's completely illogical.

This and just rent a car. I would much rather spend time driving across the country than be stuck in an airport.

Looks like OP is mid flight. Probably a good thing he didn't rebook to the 920pm on southwest, southwest ended up cancelling all 3 Denver - Nola nonstops today

Curious, did they offer you a hotel for the cancellation?

Last night, I had the 7:15p direct from Den to Msy. We were delayed an hour, but I feel so fortunate that was all. The same flight tonight is cancelled.
