Pitt tight end Malachi Thomas has reportedly signed with LSU after visiting Baton Rouge over the weekend.

Thomas, a 6’4, 240-pounder from Thomasville, Ga., will have two years of eligibility remaining at LSU.

Thomas had 13 catches for 192 yards and two touchdowns this past season and was expected to be a starter for Pitt in 2026.

Hard to say. Could be an indictment of Pitt, their QB, scheme fit, etc. and not necessarily him and his potential. Haven't watched a whole lot of Pitt, me. In Lane we trust.

TE's get used in Lane's offense. He has great size. Looks like could be an effective blocking TE with that size.

Ok. I'll just trust your talent evaluation over Lane Kiffen's.

Maybe, just hear me out here, maybe he can actually block, and that is something that has been lacking in the LSU tight end room the last few years.

thats not "no production" for a blocking tight end from Pitt who's not exactly a team that throws it all over the field
