The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones. Native American/Western Frontier vampire story interwoven through multiple generations and with a bit of a cultural twist on it. Really enjoying it so far.

I grew up one County over in North MS where this is set. I'm really enjoying the stories.

Agreed. It's such a chore.

Seven Husbands was a good book. Pleasantly surprised me last year

I’ve heard good things and wanted a little break from my historical fantasy I’ve been reading.

I tried Seven Husbands but gave up on it. Maybe one day I'll try again.

It's about 70% of the way through and it's been pretty good. Pleasantly surprised.

Just finished and really enjoyed it. That twist, man. But yes, it was good.

A Private Cathedral, James Lee Burke
It's book 23 in the Dave Robicheaux series, and I'll finish it and the next one because I'm this far into the series, but JLB is in his late 80's I believe and its starting to show a little I think, there are some serious continuity errors in this one, and the storyline feels forced. It's not awful, but slow and not as good as the earlier ones.
