Not to mention the AD doing the hiring will probably be looking for a new job within a year.

Michigan is waiting for the NFL season to end to bring on Raheem the Dream Morris.

Why wait? Take him now, please

I dont think he will. He'd be dumb to take it, but it jist seems like Michigan has too many eggs in that basket to fail.

Bama will definitely not beat Indiana

I think Bama wins by 10. Indiana will not be able to handle the pressure, things will start to crack.

Been following this one and their plan was basically deboer if bama lost to OU and they had no backup plan

You cannot understand their hiring process until you understand the insane egos of the people running that program.

They’re an odd combination of wanna be Ivy League pretentiousness, new money egotism and insular cult-like “Michigan man” culture influenced by a uniquely toxic blend of northeast liberal alumni mixed with blue collar redneck Republican local fanbase.

If you haven’t been up there to interact with it you can’t really process how uniquely entitled and annoying they are, not that Ohio State is much better.

Bama can't run the ball.

This seems like it could have been meant as an insult, but it's shockingly spot on. Best brief description of the fanbase I've seen.

I have a good friend who’s a big time Michigan alumni/fan.

He proudly wears a t-shirt that says “Arrogant Michigan Fan”.

He’s an a**h*** but also ridiculously funny.

It all just is what it is up there.

The team that beat Ohio State? Bama could barely handle Oklahoma.

Only Michigan could revere Bo Schembechler’ a coach mostly known for getting his dick stomped in the Rose Bowl. Can you imagine an SEC tolerating a coach getting bent over in his first 8 SugarBowls?

But why would Deboer take the Michigan job? Their athletic department is a complete disaster right now and who knows what investigations might turn up. They've had black eye after black eye to their image the past few years. And even with all this turmoil, if he doesn't make the playoffs at Michigan and gets embarrassed by Ohio State, the UM fans will be calling for his job there too.

Michigan is a not a good job. It was irrelevant for a very long time before Harbaugh got there. Say what you want about Jim being a weird man, the guy can coach his arse off. Jim is an elite level coach. The one and only reason for their success was Harbaugh. Nobody wants to go play football and freeze their arse off in Michigan anymore. Everything is moving south for these players.

Well OSU is pretty damn cold too and people want to go to that upper Midwest location… I think UM can be/has been a great football school but it is a screaming scandal right now. Hard to get a good P4 coach to come in to that mess. They would be wise to get an NFL asst or go after a school like Toledo’s Coach… or hire Brian Kelly for 3 years and have an heir apparent when he retired.

I feel like it has to be Deboer at this point. It doesn't make sense to still be waiting if it's not.
