Sexton agreed to terms early this week. Sexton got a better offer from FSU

Couldn't LSU up the ante again? I mean if Jimbo is truly the guy they want, what's a few million more?

It's really frustrating that someone would mislead a school, resulting in the firing of their coach, in order to get a few more marginally utilized dollars for their client.

and honestly its not like this is unique to Sexton.

ANY agent would be doing the same thing.

Any chance at a counter to the counter? Or is it just simple as Jimbo wants to stay...

This happens all the time in the real world. It's how you make more money.

I am not saying I've always been right - but I've been right lately:

(1) les is gone;
(2) Jimbo is not in play (we got Sexton-ed);
(3) there are back-up plans but nothing certain;
(4) don't be surprised to hear Fedora soon;
(5) there is doubt and anger right now behind the scenes.

he definitely told the team tomorrow is his last game, now whether that has now become his choice idk

right.

there has been a lot of spin and (dis)info out there, which is to be expected when there is no opening (as of yet). All I know is that the BOS, TAF, etc are playing this a lot better than some people are leading us to believe on this board. So I'm not worried at all about next year.

Well its sounding more and more like $exton has started his BS.

The equation is often the same.

Flirt with a new team, neither confirm nor deny. Lead a school to believe its done knowing the leaks are impossible to stop. Therefore leverage is gained.
Tell the school how much its really gonna take.

If Alleva was smart and this is indeed what is going on, he should scratch Jimbo off the list and move on to the next candidate/s. The longer LSU flirts with Sexton the worse the result will be for LSU.

Sexton has been pitting one school against another for far to long. Its slimey
While he and his clients make out the schools get the stick.

It happens in many fields. I know some people who used job offers to get more money. It's just a coach is on big scale. If your employer likes you, he will give you a raise if you are considering leaving your job for another. Nothing wrong with it.

Like 9/10 coaches at established, big name programs are going to use openings as a way to get more money where they currently are.

If Alleva didn't prepare for this...well...bye

honestly its a pretty damn good year to have to look to your back ups, I would be happy with Chip, Herman, or Fedora.

Fedora will be a tough sell to the ignorant masses but he's a good coach

Yeah I'd be surprised if he thought fsu wasn't gonna fight for jimbo, which is why I thought this was gonna get mega expensive.

That's their fault for getting themselves played. Sexton nor Jimbo called LSU out of the blue and gave them the idea to get rid of Miles.
