One thing is for sure.... You may blame him for 22 and 23... But no way can you blame him for last year and this year! Bama was almost... And I say almost.... As bad trying to run the ball as LSU. So we going to take it as an upgrade.

As Bama poster have mentioned, he ran their 5* line into the ground that churned out 3-4 nfl draft picks per year. He was Stoops and Vince Marrow’s HS buddy in Youngstown OH. His first tour at UK he road the coat tails of John Scharman Big Blue Wall after his untimely cancer related death. He left a day or two before national signing day of his second year and took UK’s two best recruits with him to Bama. Saban became enamored with him after the UK offense line pushed Bama around in a very close contest during the 21 season. After a couple seasons Saban realized the UK line that punched them in the mouth wasnt recruited or developed by Woforf while also seeing one of his his teams strengths become an overweight liability instead.
What does Mark Stoops do but after his Bama dismissal but welcome his old high school back in 24. This caused major dissension with anyone on the UK staff from his previous stint, most notably Marrow, who despised him for burning the bridges he did in the manner he left. Wilford’s 24 return marked the beginning of the end of the Stopps era as indicted by their record the previous two season and his firing on Sunday. W/o knowing, I would be willing to bet Wolford is repped by Jimmy Sexton and he is the sole reason he’s landing at LSU.

Come on Lane….this is supposed to be your career defining move. Don’t come in and hire lame duck coaches. You saw what just happened to BK

Hire the best of the best!

A lot of teams split their OL Coaching. One coach gets Tackles and the blocking aspect of TE play. The other gets Guards and Centers. Maybe Wofford does one and Garrison comes in to do the other, then Cox does TE pass catching and route running.

Well hell. I had foolishly assumed that our line was so abysmal that most anyone would be helpful. This dude getting picked up so quickly doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.

The Wildcats ranked No. 45 in pressure rate allowed (29.0%), according to TruMedia. The team's 1.85 rushing yards before contact was No. 65 in the nation. Expected Points Added (EPA) on designed run plays ranked No. 96 (-0.05) in the country.

You guys really are sensitive. No one here is jumping down your throat about this.

Really hope it’s as an analyst. Terrible at Bama, Kentucky, and SCar.

I assume he’s an analyst. Probably a chance he gets the on field role if they miss on a bunch of guys, which is why they haven’t specified his job yet.

This is why I was hoping we would hire Ole Miss coach because we'd look at someone like this who's questionable. He doesn't look like he has been a good coach for years now. Kentucky fans hated him, Bama fans hated him, etc.

I will just be happy if we don’t lead the league in tackles for loss by our lines butts next year.

Anything has to be an improvement. Last year’s O line was supposed to be great and they were awful. This years was even worse.

I’m not a football whippa snappa so I don’t know if the shitty running game was because the O line sucked, the blocking scheme sucked, or our backs had no vision. Or a combination of the three.

Garrison has righted the ship for us at OL this year but under Kiffin we had some really bad lines. Good news is, he can generally scheme around the weak spots.

It's going to be as the o line coach.
