Not sure why some people are so obsessed about Coach O being on the staff. 2019 was awesome but he caught lightening in a bottle. Did yall forget about 2020?

I'd take Robinson all day over O.

I'm not obsessed with Coach O coming back, but y'all act like head would be coming back as the head coach. I'm very happy with Robinson, but would have had no problem with having O as the D Line coach

Just completely lucked out, right? No way he pursued Burrow, or talked JR's that had a culture of leaving into staying for their SR season, or staying the course with Fulton, etc. Just dumb fricking luck.

Same. But I don't feel the need to trash the guy who put together the greatest season in CFB over it.

O is not going to coach at LSU. He was fired and justifiably so.

Orgeron and Ponamsky are a package deal. I don’t want them within 100 miles of the LSU program.

DP stated he is not coming back (even if O theoretically should return as a position coach).

But I don't get the hate for DP. Dude bleeds purple & gold. Graduated from LSU. Was a recruitnik, much like Shea Dixon, Dandy Don or Scarborough. Had a radio voice for a Tigercentric radio show. Helped organize a binder as pitch for interim O to become CEO, who promptly produced the GOAT CFB season. Was O's gopher/secretary until O's job ended. Metaphorically, graduated from LSU twice. What did Ponamsky do that was so wrong?

But if they hire Elijah Robinson to coach the defensive line, they can't hire Orgeron to be the d-line coach.
Peoples going to Tuck Fulane with Baker. Robinson coaches DE's and Shrimpy coaches interior DL. (Or vice versa)

Robinson just got "Demoted" as DC at Syracuse. Syracuse. If you can't do your job effectively, you get fired or demoted. (See Alex Atkins at Florida State) LSU doesn't need to be hiring anymore "Fired" coaches that can't do the job. No more "Used Car Salesmen" on the Coaching Staff here. If ER were a great DL Coach, he would not be at Syracuse in the first place.

He was a very good DL coach and recruiter at Faggie, left to Cuse to coach with his friend and get away from all the Jimbo toxicity at aTm. No he probably should not be calling plays but I am confident he can coach up and recruit DLinemen

He got demoted back to the same position he would be coming here for. He had to have been good at that job to get promoted to co-DC. Now if he comes here as DC, then we can agree with you.

You mean the year after we lost SEVENTEEN starters to the NFL, and the portal didn't exist

And no spring ball

And Ryan Clark BLMing

Now O chasing skirt and bailing on his responsibilities in order to do so was worthy of a pink slip.

But let’s not act like that season was going to shite no matter who the coach was (except MAYBE Saban…maybe).
