I feel like he safe next season unless they completely tank, but at some point he is going to be told to either get with the times and start utilizing nil more or they will part ways.

All Clemson has to do is remember Clemson before Dabo....

This feels like LSU late in Miles' tenure.

And let's remember, Miles may not have "built" the program (Saban did), but he took it over pretty early, and kept it rolling for about a decade.
The wheels have fallen off at Clemson. Past 3 years, there were 2 awful seasons, and then a playoff appearance where they were a shell of their former postseason selves.

I think we're fast approaching a "thank you for your services" moment there. I think the draft will reignite some anger, as multiple guys from a 7-6 team go in the first round.

Clemson stepped up to the plate and poured a ton of money into Dabo’s salary, staff salaries, and facilities. Probably top five (or even top 2-3) in the country at their peak. There’s no Ferrari without the program’s significant financial investment.

I think Dabo’s buyout is too large at this point even if Clemson wanted to fire him. However, I don’t think Clemson “owes” him anything either if they decide to make a change in the next year or two if the mediocrity continues. Clemson gave him the job in 2008 when no other major program would have hired him and have paid him top dollar for his success. If there was ever a point when Dabo was underpaid, well, now he’s overpaid and probably will be for the remainder of his contract.

Make or break year, Clemson has heard it all since NIL has taken over. It’s either time for him to back it up or they will thank him for his time and move on.

His recruiting has been underwhelming lately too. Current class is only ranked 4th in the lowely ACC

Well, to be fair, ACC did go 6-6 against the SEC this year.

If he loses to us in Game 1, he won’t last to the end of the season.

I think he makes it through next season just due to his buyout amount. His seat will get very hot if he repeats this next year.

Their 2026 class isnt as bad as a previous poster made it out to be.

I do think its interestinf that Belichik took so much shite all year despite absolutely turning UNC into a competitor for next season. I will be hammering UNC overs and even some ACC champion bets in August

quote:

Clemson earned the No. 18 spot on the list and has the fourth-best ranking in the ACC, trailing only Miami, North Carolina, and Florida State.

After finishing the 2025 cycle with only 15 commits — including seven decommits — and ranking as the No. 26 recruiting class in the nation, it's certainly a step in the right direction.

In this pic, Dabo reminds me of the kid (on front porch) in the infamous movie "Deliverance". I can almost hear twanging banjos.

If he hires Chad Morris and it goes how it could…this is the kind of polarizing hire that just kills you if it doesn’t work.
