Stoops would fit an would have motive and means to trigger oklahoma fanbase with Riley alleged interest. LSU and the SEC West would essentially become the Big 12 with texas, aggie, arky, and oklahoma. Need someone who is familiar with those enemies.

LSU may be about to find out that any coach cannot just win a national championship here. The program that Saban built is not even close to what Ogre took from Miles.

If he was 'cool' looking and young everyone would love him. He is at Kentucky and came in and competed in the SEC and has his team year in and year out playing very well. He is better than most this year and is beating people. He will have better teams at LSU every year than this years team at KY.....that puts him competing for the championship every year.

There are a whole lot worse hires than him.

But don’t want a guy who has built a good program from the ground up with smart game day coaching and raising their recruiting level significantly.

It’s amazing really

No. It isnt, it is predictable They have an image they want. Stoops doesnt fit it. He isnt my first choice, but any rational person would see the appeal to him taking over.

People need to adjust their thinking on this. If we end up in a SEC West that contains tex, aggie, arky, missouri, okl, miss, and miss state the best candidates maybe people with big 12 experience.

He took over a cellar dweller and has had them in 2nd in the East three of four times. That is about as good as anyone is doing at Kentucky

I dont see this line of thinking at all. If that were the case we just go hire mullet and move on, or hell circle back on Herman.

I’m sorry but I really don’t think woody is gonna hire a guy that lost three in a row after they beat us.

And one more thing

The fact that the whole administration ,pretty much , all went to that particular game means nothing. They didn’t go to that specific game to keep an eye on coach o and they didn’t go to that particular game to watch stoops in regards to deciding if he looked the part on the sidelines and if he would be a candidate or anything .

The reason they went to that particular game is because that’s the game they picked out to go to , they picked it last year. The administration does that every year, they go to one away game together every year. I think it’s probably like a vacation for them or something. I did hear that they do attend meetings with other people , not sure who though.

To me if you put those two things together, it drops the likelihood of stoops being a candidate.

Did y’all forget how bad he was over a long period of time before he got his first decent season? Woody will look into him and see those things.
Plus, it’s not a lock that he would want to leave Kentucky. He may not want to leave something he built. It would be historic to win a ny6 bowl or make the playoff at Kentucky

I’ll admit, I don’t know when he was in the big 12 , but I know where he is now, and the offense he runs doesn’t fit what we’ve been recruiting

Go ahead, hire stoops and see what walker Howard does, see how fast boutte ,Deion smith , jack bech and btjr transfer.

We are built for the spread, Louisiana produces players that are best in the spread. Stoops will have a hard time keeping what he has at Kentucky going if he doesn’t eventually develop a qb .

They had Lynn Boden playing qb a little while back. The Levi’s kid is a penn state transfer.

STOOPS doesn’t fit our roster or our recruiting area. He won’t change no matter who he hires at oc . Stoops is a poor mans les miles

Stoops is more likely to Fla than to LSU.

I respect what he has done in Lexington. I just don't know ANY Tiger Faithfull who would get excited for 2022 with that hire.

While I’m not saying this is the “sexy hire”, I will say he is more qualified than Aranda and damn sure Napier. He built a POWER 5 program and basketball school into a consistent winner in the best conference in football. That speaks volumes to me about what he is capable of doing with elite level talent. He is essentially taking 3* and winning in the SEC.
