Never. Lane already tried it.
Exactly. That’s a big deal actually that he’s already been there and experienced… Unless he REALLY gets the desire to go back one day.

Agree he will do us kike he's done others.

That’ll happen no matter who the coach is since they’re pretty much all represented by Jimmy Sexy anyway

I think he’s done with the nfl. He tried his hand in the nfl

Kiffin got involved with Al Davis way back. It did not end well. When Al Davis thinks you are better off being dead (his words) you know you have pissed off someone. Hell when you piss off Pat Hayden so that he fires you on the tarmac, you know you are special.

That’s could happen !

If I was LK id take the giants job and he would do great in the nfl he wouldn’t have to recruit or worry about nil but then again hes already been to the nfl as a coach didnt go well

As Lane like to say "Enjoy the moment!"

Yep, Bama will come for him if he has any success at LSU. He will consider it intently because that’s what he does.

but the NFL isn’t as big a threat as people think it is.
Both jobs are demanding but have different sets of headaches they have to deal with, so I suppose it’s down to just being able to deal with one set of bullshite over another for the individual person at this point

The question that has been going through my mind ever since the whole Kiffin conversation began! It will only be a matter of time!

After three years he'll be flirting with some other team.

In the last 20 years the NFL has had six head coaches come from the NCAA-- Jim Harbaugh, Matt Rhule, Bill O'Brien, Greg Schiano, Nick Saban, and Steve Spurrier. Only Jim Harbaugh along with Pete Carroll, who went there a hundred years ago, still remains. I think the NFL looks to promote from within.

He’s a child. Next bright, shiny object that draws his eye.

Kiffin would’ve bolted to the NFL right now if he wanted to be there

Kiffin once tried to kick a 76 yard FG once as the Raiders head coach. He hasn't been the same since

That much confidence in his leg?
Posted on 11/19/25 at 4:28 pm to Hawgnsincebirth55
Or until we fire him

If he is as successful as some of the posters here think he will be he'll be coaching in the NFL in 3 years

Seabass did have a hell of a leg. And there was 1 second left in the half
