There are a bunch of us who won't believe anything until the contract is signed and Lane is standing at the podium with Stricklin wearing an Orange and Blue tie.

He uses 247 as a source. They don’t have anyone that knows shite.

But just keep in mind that it’s silly season and silly shite gets posted on message boards.

This is all speculation until ink meets paper.

It’s clear that sexton is using this to ramp up the bidding war, and Klatt said ole miss and lsu will write blank checks while UF won’t.

Then UF is the smartest of the bunch.
Not that I wouldn’t like Lane at LSU but not at that cost

LK is a fool if he leaves OM for UF or LSU, both schools have proven they have VERY short leashes and crazy expectations and are proving they are a financial disaster to deal with.

Some coaches want to win championships. I know it’s crazy to imagine some high achievers are not afraid of expectations. It’s a completely different mentality not to always take the path of least resistance. I’m not even pretending to be in that category, but some people are like that.

It’s definitely one of those pivotal moments in sports that we will look back on in a few years at UF, LSU and Ole Miss to see how it all plays out.

Meh... he failed spectaculary at his alma mater, TT. How he failed there and fell up to an NFL gig really is puzzling.

Was a great OC. Not sold on him being a successful HC.

Its still too early to tell. If Ole Miss all of a sudden collapses then that might show the evidence of the turmoil but its just too soon to tell what Lane is going to do.

Lincoln Riley is not a candidate for UF.
When/if he leaves USC it would be for a program in TX.

The big 2 jobs aren't open

I don't see him leaving USC for Baylor

The reality for us is that the outrageous buyout to Jimbo has strained our athletic department budget. When somebody writes that check that could be used elsewhere...

So the big contracts are fine when it works out. Finding the right coach isn't easy. Never know if your racehorse will win.

I don't think he wants any part of the SEC.

Kliff Kingsbury Is quoted as saying he will never go back to college football. Money talks but doesn’t sound too good.

Sure, whatever man.

It’s not my money so in that sense you’re right. But the school would be stupid to grossly overpay for Kiffin right after the idiotic co tract they gave to Kelly

It matters when you're giving coaches incentive to coast on the job like BK did here. He immediately went hands-off and lazy because he got retirement at LSU. If give Kiffin guarantees like 15-20 million a year how much is his head really in the game at that point?

Dan Mullen had a winning record at Florida and went to seccg twice in four seasons, and he was fired.
Dan's performance at MSU was similar to Lane's at OleMiss.

Why would Sexton steer Kiffin to LSU after the public shaming little lying Landry gave to the agents who he blames for ruining things not to mention the welching on the Kelly buyout?
