Saban is 74, doesn’t need the money , he isn’t getting back in coaching.

FWIW, Frank Wilson has vouched for a name I believe Tiger Rant will truly be happy with.

Frank did coach for Kiffin back in the day.

Ok with the list outside of Meyer

I’d be ok with Saban doing a 2-3 year rebuild the house he built project, hand the reigns off to an in house successor.

Saban seems to enjoy his current role so I’m not sure he’s up for jumping back in it…but wouldn’t shock me either He’s also a name that would completely unify a fan base where apathy is beginning to set in.

You’d need to be offering 20+ for him to even think before he turns it down (which he would)
---going back to when Saban left LSU, he said it's "not about the money", it's about the challenge. If he still believes that, MAYBE he'd return for the challenge of making LSU Great Again.
But I don't see him returning to football anywhere. He's 73, Miss Terry is NOT on board. He is already swimming in money and total adoration at Bama.

And believes he has matured enough to take on the challenge and understands the NIL carousel. Kiffin knows he could pull all the talent in the world coming to LSU.

Glad to hear Sumrall is an option cuz Phillytiger made it seem like we wouldn’t even consider him from his post yesterday

Who said I believed it? I’m well aware it’s all speculation and we really won’t see any traction on this deal until later in the season. People talking right now are people who just want to stir stuff up and get laughs on the site. I’m not an idiot

Me personally, I think if we can't land Kiffin then Sumrall would be my pick. I doubt Saban will get back into coaching. I'm iffy on Meyer too.

The current members on staff and some of the alumni that have spoken about their concerns in this hire, don't think he would mesh well with the current team and fanbase.

You would be surprised how many think he would come here and compete year one.

The list is who (politically) polls the best. The egos invovled think they can get Saban so they can be the "heroes" of Louisiana. They won't, and all it will do is raise the asking price for any realistic option. LSU may feel like its the "best" job available. But it isn't the only job available. The coaching market knows that and will leverage all of the openings to raise the market value for all.

Kiffin is the next, and last, person on "the list". But he's going to create a 3-way war between Florida, LSU and Ole Miss that ultimately results in him being the highest paid HC in the country...by Ole Miss. After that, there is no "list". It's just a bunch of egos with money who know little about college football other than basic name recognition all in a pissing match.

Some have reached out to him and his opinion on who he would hire. Kiffin, Sumrall, and Brohm were his three choices. Feels as if Kiffin would click better with the fanbase and bring excitement back the death valley.
