What makes me think this isn't going to happen is there is no way Alleva is going to let someone tell him what a contract says. It's just the way he is.

i hope alleva agrees to hciw. if allowed to run a full fledged hc search who knows what kind of clown he would decide to bring in.
i think kirby will be a good hc one day. when les leaves it could make for a very smooth transition.

Just give a normal contract with a normal buyout. If Smart comes in and does a good job, then the UGA job opens up, I would wish him well if he were to take it. We aren't hiring a head coach right now, just an assistant coach. If Smart does a good job then he is worth the effort, and Les can just find a new assistant a couple of years down the road.
