I agree with some stipulations. I think LSU should be smart in contract negotiations. Right now Drinkwitz is paid around the 10th highest salary in college football. It makes zero sense to me to pay Eli Drinkwitz like he is Ryan Day. LSU will likely have to pay him a top 3-5 coach salary with a huge buyout. He isn’t anywhere near that level of ability. We will likely have to fire him in 3 or 4 years just like Kelly. I don’t think LSU should give a top 5 contract to what is a top 25 coach at best. There needs to be common sense here.

Drink is just meh
I feel like he has to be doing something right x Missouri doesn’t jsut win on its own, but he also doesn’t seem to have the personality to get a team ready to go win a war.
He is like a Dan Mullin.

Maybe i’m wrong maybe there are some awesome pregame speeches out there and he can relate to players.

You probably don't have to worry about this since his name is being floated out constantly within LSU's circle. That means LSU probably hasn't even contacted him or is seriously considering Kiffin. All 3 of these guys Shea mentioned LSU probably doesn't even seriously have on their radar.

Drink would be a solid hire, but we should not overpay... his big game record sucks, but he has Mizzou getting close to Pinkels level. Could do much worse.

Oh please. Yeah, everyone thinks Kiffin’s #1 choice because of his looks? Lmfao. I thought I’ve heard everything until now. Kiffin is sought after based on his experience as an offensive guru, and the fact that he’s turned OM around consistently to be better than LSU. We need this hire.
