One of the coachless teams is going to make a HR hire, and if LSU doesn't hire Alex Golesh, the team that does hire him will be a perennial playoff participant for years to come. Book it. or better yet, sign AG to purple & gold!

I wish LSU recruited more Polynesian players. He could do that. Bet he does an impressive haka.

I think UF is nuts if he’s not in their top 3.

And I hope we at least give him a good look. He’s not a first choice for me, but definitely one of the better fall-back options.

The way things played out this week, I would not be surprised if it's Sumrall.

Think about it---1. hired in-state LSU president. 2. hired at-home Verge for AD. 3. Sumrall knows LA, is right down the road.

None of us have any input and none of us actually know who is being considered or even interested. It's all mental masturbation

Agreed, I've been pounding that drum for a while. It's Lane or Golesh for me. And if it's not the Lane Train, I'd love to have the Russian Agent strolling the sideline in the Swamp.

I think the logical choice would be Sumrall. He younger, seems tough, likes physical football and would recruit well.

If LSU had any leaders that knew their arse from hole in the ground they would hire Tulane's coach .
He comes on our local sports show.here in Alabama often, the guy is a saban wantabe he quotes saban Everytime he comes on. He models his programs after what saban did, he's firey and takes no bullshite from anyone . He would be perfect for LSU , he's young and full of piss and vinegar. To be honest I would trade kalen for this dude tomorrow.

75 Unfortunatly you make to much sense for LSUs elitetist fans.Any choice that isn’t NS or LK will be lambasted in BR.There hasn’t ever been a coach hired by the tigers where half the fans like him.I would support Sumrall,Golesh ,McGuire,Dillingham any young up and comer, but I’d be in the minority of fans of LSU.

Already turned us down once:
Marcus Freeman (HC at Notre Dame)
Lincoln Riley (HC at USC)

Under the radar:
Manny Diaz (HC at Duke)
Josh Heupel (HC at Tennessee)

Currently out of coaching but looking to come back?
Nick Saban
Urban Meyer
John Gruden
Jimbo Fisher

Promote from within:
Blake Baker (DC)
Frank Wilson (RB)

Out of left field:
The Honey Badger

The only name on here that would make any sense if he wanted back in would be Saban. No on Fisher, Gruden, Meyer, Baker, Wilson, Honey Badger, Freeman, Diaz, Riley

The trend is toward Frank Wilson after Rousse and Verge.
