Can't believe this topic has gotten so much play lately. Tate will talk a good game for appearances but deep down I feel he knows to stay out of it. If Tate makes an uninformed hire just on the basis of ethnicity, then both he and SW are out of a job if the project fails.

I heard about tomlin maybe coming but me personally I just don’t see it. Apparently He and the Steelers have had some problems and disagreements with what they are trying to do future wise. I don’t know if it’s enough for him to leave.

"Down to 4 candidates" would suggest others have already said no, as there's no way Woodward only *just* started vetting candidates.
Not being negative, only that I'm sure Woodward has long had his top targets so he wouldn't really be vetting many more than 4 to begin with.

Of course I love the gossip, everyone does, but at the end of the day I have been here since 2005 and a bunch of damn coaching searches. Everyone that was the insider of the day has turned out to be full of shite at some point.

Man I want to believe this so bad! Tate 1000% needs to stay out of this. Woodward is seasoned veteran and at the end of the day his job and his job alone is at stake if next HC is unsuccessful.
