New Orleans restaurant with kids

Hey I’m bringing my wife and kids to New Orleans this weekend. I’ve been more time than I can count but I’ve never had kids with me so I Never really paid attention to the areas I was in. What are some restaurants that aren’t super fancy and are in good areas? We will be at the aquarium tomorrow evening so something close to there would be cool

For a local spot not too far away, Deanies Seafood may be your best spot. It may be a 10 minute walk though.
Gordon Biersch is close by. Not the best choice for New Orleans restaurants, but wouldn't be a bad place with kids.
If you want a good New Orleans restaurant, I've taken kids to Bourbon House and it was fine, just pricier than a normal family restaruant.
Felix's may not be a bad option either.
If you're driving home after the aquarium, head to Mandinas. It's a 10 minute drive and you can park there and its authentic New Orleans and a great place.

We are staying the weekend. Aquarium tomorrow at 3:30 then dinner. Saturday we will do breakfast somewhere then head to the Dome to watch my nephew play in the State title game then supper after somewhere. Might try a couple of the places you suggested! Thanks

Mandina's is a good option on your way out Sunday for brunch.
A good atmosphere for kids and great food is Felix's Lakefront. Good outside seating. Almost always a live band outside on bottom area. From Aquarium, take Poydras to I-10, West End blvd to Lakeshore Dr. About 15-20 minutes.
I recommend Camellia Grill for breakfast on Carrollton.

Grand Isle wouldn’t be awful and is close to the aquarium.

If the kids aren’t annoying, grab some pizza at domenica & see the lights at the Roosevelt

Junior's in Lakeview or R&O's in Bucktown are both pretty good.

There isn’t a lot around the aquarium. Went a few weeks ago and GB told us it was a 2 hour wait because they were short staffed. I doubt much if anything has changed. We had to walk about 6 blocks to a pizza Place which was average. I’d make the trek to Mandina’s if I were you.

Cafe Mespara is kid friendly as well and that's a short walk from aquarium

You could take them Cochon Butcher. Good food if you don’t mind answering your kids questions about why that boy waiter looks like a girl or vice-versa
Pizza Delicious is really good and not terribly far away.

Think they were talking about the actual Domenica, which is likely fully booked for the weekend by today anyway.

These are good choices. Don't go to Gordon Biersrch.

High Hat Cafe on Freret Street has great food. Everything is freshly made. The prices are reasonable and is very kid friendly.
