Why can't trump start a new party?

Why is it impossible for Trump to break off from the RINOs and form his own party? He is building a solid base in the house already and his support has never been higher. The likes of the actual fighting conservatives are sure to join along. I would even bet DeSantis wouldn't be opposed. Why is it viewed as such a "no no"? 75 million people voted for him in the last election. Even if he doesn't run for president he can still be king maker.

It would split the Republican vote.
If he funded it behind the scenes it might work - his aversion to war and support for fair trade over free trade would take a lot of disgruntled lefties. But a lot of those voters don't like Orange Man.

Isn’t it already split? Those who love trump vs those who hate him? That’s my point, does he have enough support from those who support him to just break away and leave the old rinos in the dust?

This raid was about not letting him run period. Would not matter about party.

What makes you think his support has never been higher? Because he won a straw poll at some CPAC convention where a bunch of MAGA pussies voted? He, at best has about 30% of the population supporting him. He probably should form his own party, he's fricked it up for the Republicans to be successful for the next few years.

He should have done it immediately after the last election.

The easiest path is to run as a democrat.

I'm sure that the Marxist dems would just love that.
The problem is that America is not a parliamentary form of government. In a parliamentary form of government, a plurality third party can form a coalition with other parties and rule government. In our electoral system, we would just end up with splitting the conservative vote and handing the dems another plurality President like Ross Perot did for Bill Clinton.
Trump is already doing what has to be done with his wing of the GOP. He's challenging the RINOs in the primaries and routing many of them. In the general election, any surviving RINOs still need to be voted for because even one more seat to make a majority in the House or Senate gives a party control of all of the powerful committee chairs.

There it is.

He should, it would be best for everyone involved, he won't because he has zero chance of winning anything if he does.

You must love living under Democrats in control of everything.

He can and SHOULD start his own party.
Then the Republican party could finally be rid of the George Wallace know nothing redneck cancer that has plagued us since the mid seventies.

He is more than welcome to leave and take all his wacky supporters with him . . .

When Ron Desantis get the nod, he likely will. He'll take the attitude that if he can't have it, no one will have it.
He'll run as an independent or put together some half assed "third party" platform. The MAGA bitter enders will stick by him and the end result will be someone like Gavin Newsom in the White House.
Trump's ego and petulance won't allow anything else.

Ross Perot circa 1992 says he can give you a pretty good reason to not try that.

Have you not paid any attention to the GOP primaries? Trump has have a huge impact replacing RINOS is all kinds of primaries. He is reforming the corrupted GOP. That is our only pathway to having any political influence in this nation.
The USA is too far gone for the GOP to ever have complete control. All we can hope for is enough to put the brakes on as we move rapidly toward a totalitarian rule.
