That would piss me off.

Just because someone plays golf, it doesn't mean that they have class or etiquette.

Yes. One of my biggest pet peeves. You have to be a real piece of shite to spit those out on a green.

That would annoy me since it’s the green. Also annoying when clowns put cigs on the tee box

I was about to say the same. I often see cigars just lying in the grass. What would make anyone think it's fine to litter anywhere, let alone a golf course. If you're worried about throwing it in the trash, just keep it in your cart until the round is over, then dispose of it.

I can't enjoy a cigar while playing a round.. It's constantly going out, they rolled off the cart not thinking about it, if you're sharing a cart with someone who doesn't smoke it's just rude.. I've stopped bringing them.. On top of that.. Yeah I can't tell you how many i've seen just laying on a tee box or green even..

Cigars found in or near the short grass we’re put down to hit a shot and forgotten. They are 100% leaf so I will dispose of well out of play.

I don't remember the last round I played that I did not see multiple tee boxes with tees left in the ground and unrepaired divots on the green. Not just my home courses (The Oaks and Royal) but Kiva Dunes, The Peninsula, Lost Key, Raven Golf Club, Palm and Magnolia at Disney World. I mean, no PGA courses or anything but you would think paying $80+ for a round of golf would weed out those kind of idiots so seeds, stogies and stogey butts certainly don't surprise me.

Etiquette is on life support.

I repair numerous divots and ball marks on every hole I play.

One day, I used 22 bottles of divot mix.

People are lazy, especially in scrambles. 4 divots side by side. None filled. Our carts have 2 bottles of divot mix and we have a refill station on 7 and 14. Also boxes of divot mix at all par 3s.

It’s kind of sad.

Golf at the country club was so much nicer when I was a kid. A ton of trash started playing golf around 2000.

I’ll gladly wade through a pile of cigar butts and sunflower seeds if people would fix their damn pitch marks on the greens. I fixed 77 of them on a short par 3 recently….at my country club.

Your GM or super needs to get involved and let members know the expectations.

True but I’m almost certain it’s the outside play that does it.

Folks got lazy about raking bunkers after rakes were removed in the early days of the pandemic. Rakes are back but players are not using them??

Amazing how many people don't know what the bottles are for.

And I'm like you, it gets tiring fixing other people's ball marks.

My pet peeve is slow play. Our course is jammed up on weekends and 4.5 to 5 hour rounds are common. They let 5 play in a group and some groups are super slow but they won’t let faster groups play through. The next thing you know the group behind us is hitting into us and you know they can see the group in front of us. It’s going to break out into a melee one day. It seems like since after Covid, people have lost their manners and patience.

That’s on the starter and marshals, you have to tell slow players pace of play is 4 hours, you fall behind then let better players play through.

My home course has pace of play issues. Its one of the only things that annoys me about the course.
