Do we have a solid place kicker on our roster? All I here about is missed FG in scrimmages. We have been spoiled to solid kickers for quite a while now and a good kicker can be the difference in a tight game. Also, who is the kick returners? I love having a dangerous kick returner like Trindon Holiday and the Honey Badger… do we have anyone exciting to try this year?

I'm going to melt so hard if we ever miss anything under 40 yards

I'm sure the answer is out there, but has Peyton Todd never placekicked? Unreal a program like ours doesn't have the kicker position locked down with the season right around the corner. Kicking is not that damn difficult, just a ton of practice and repetition so keeping your head down through your leg swing feels natural. I could make it from 40 yards in 8th grade.

Punter is money, punted 3 over 50 in scrimmage, Dilbert has a strong leg but ain’t no York walking through them doors. It’ll be hard to replace 2 Ks Cole Tracy most FGs in NCAA football history, and York one of the best, I think drafted higher than any K in draft history. We have definitely been spoiled, can lower expectations some after 5 years of unbelievable Kickers. And will miss Avery drilling thru the end zone also.

not so.

He was 4th round.

John Lee out of UCLA was 2nd round pick (and bust) in the 1986 draft.

York had to grow and get better over his career. I think in 2019 he was 5/10 beyond 40.

Nick Saban’s Alabama, the best dynasty in the history of college football, has kicking problems more often than they don’t.

That tells me that it is in fact very hard and that you’re just an idiot.

In the 2000 draft, the Raiders picked Sabastian Janikowski out of FSU 17th overall in the 1st round.

Sebastian Janikowski was a 1st round pick back in 2000, 17th overall selection out of Florida State. Had a long career with the Raiders, huge leg.

Big arse dude, listed at 6'1 260 and had the biggest leg in the NFL forever.

Bama struggled for years finding a reliable kicker...

Had a career long 63 yard field goal which tied the NFL record at the time.

Maybe you didn’t notice that those punts were line drives with no height and no hang time. We have a problem with punting

Is Mata hurt? Dibert not what they hoped for? . Also noticed in Kellys interview everyone was mentioned but Mata
Friends there today said he didn’t even warm up or kick a ball?

The talk was he was 100% early on and we all saw his two kick offs out of the back of the end zone at the SG.
In interviews know polian has said lefties are a challenge for him. Just thinking both the lefties were not seen today. (Is it a coaching issue?)

Although they do say they are confident in the kicking game and depth….

Hopefully we only need PATs

The Saints say, “Hold my beer!”

We drafted Russel Erxleben 11th overall!!!!! And he sucked!

Russell Erxleben 1st round (11th overall) WTF pick by Saints in 1979.

"In 1979 he was unexpectedly drafted in the first round (11th pick overall) by the New Orleans Saints. At the time this was the second highest selection of a kicker in the draft, with the highest drafted kicker being Charlie Gogolak."
