We’ll just ignore that he greatly expanded illegal immigration and laid the foundation for restricting the second amendment.

He was excellent at the one thing you boomers really care about, owning the libs. I’ll give you that.

He has a lot of great quotes and sentiments but the MAGA crowd would crucify someone with the same policy positions today if we're being honest.

First president I ever voted for. I was 19 in 1984. I’ve been to his presidential library in California. Great man. I want to be wrong but I have my doubts that we’ll ever have another like him.

Don’t get me wrong, I love Reagan. But he’s not above criticism and many of his policy choices lead us to where we are now in terms of the issues Trump rails against.

No president has ever been perfect. Even George Washington isn't above criticism for how he handled the growing divide between the Federalists and the anti-Federalists during his second term.

God Bless him. Happy Birthday Mr Reagan.

He made people have faith in America again. Just go back and watch his speeches. Pont du Hoc, Challenger tragedy and compare them to what we have today.

The press hated Reagan because he appealed directly to the people. Also he owned Sam Donaldson.

He agreed to it in order to improve border security. The Democrats lied and didn't live up to their part of the bargain.

Reagan’s strength was his foreign policy and economic policy.

Other domestic policy outside economics he was meh.

They were not his policy initiatives. They were Dem initiatives. He compromised with leftist Dems in Congress to get budgets passed. The compromising was criticized by the right but shutdowns were gonna get blamed on the GOP with no Fox news to disagree.
