Trey Murphy adding the ability to drive this year has been amazing to watch. From game 1 to game 82 there is a HUGE difference.

I've been so happy watching him develop into a legit scorer in this league.

Also really nice to see Herb come out of that really long slump that he was in. I think we're seeing ways that he can fit into this offense.

I don't really know what I'd do with this team - how do we realistically "get better"? But it's been really great watching the young guys develop.

We screwed up big time giving CJ that extension. Trey, BI and Z should be the big 3 going forward, CJ should fill the 6th man role.

I don't know how we make any big improvements to this roster, without lottery luck or moving CJ in a trade. Although, if Zion would just stay healthy, we probably wouldn't need to move on from CJ in order to compete for a championship. But without Zion, CJ is overpaid and being asked to fill a role that doesn't suit him or his skills.

The health of Zion and BI to me is the biggest thing moving forward. Yeah CJ's contract is not ideal at all, but his leadership has played a role. I think if we are healthy, his load drops and his role completely changes to be a much more positive impact. Either way, it's hard to build a core when the two stars have missed a lot of time, most specifically one that hasn't seen half the games his entire career.

Trey's growth is going to be exponential. He already has the outlier physical traits. Elite shooter paired with elite athleticism and elite size for his position.... but for better and worse he didn't come up in basketball with the bball world telling him he was the man.

He was a late bloomer and his ego(healthy) is catching up to his talent. The more experience he gets the less he will defer to teammates. The less shots he will pass up.

Trey's absolute ceiling is so ridiculous that it is embarrassing to say out loud. And the cool thing about Trey is I would bet he gets pretty close to his ceiling bc of his intelligence, coach ability, and self awareness.

Self awareness is so important in life. Are you aware of your limitations and deny them or avoid them ..... or do you work at it all off season?

As long as CJ can have a similar year next year I don’t think his deal will be too hard to move after next year. The cap is going to really start going up and his deal declines in money

Give my man two good hands and then judge him. I think everyone forgets that he essentially carried us into the playoffs last year. The dude is playing with a torn ligament in his dominant hand.

I've been screaming that since the summer when we did it. I just don't get why. I mean, I guess I do, because of what he "did for us." But that's a stupid reason.

Let it play out and go from there.

He's now likely a negative contract. I hope I'm wrong about that and we wouldn't have to pay to move him, but I doubt we're moving him anyway.

The leap Trey is taking changes the trajectory of this franchise in a meaningful way IMO.

Be healthy. That's it. The rest are small improvements in the margin, which don't get me wrong, are important. But the only answer is to be healthy. Get healthy, we're good next season. Don't get healthy, we don't crack a top 8 seed after the regular season...again. That's really it.

Nah, I'm not sure the plan was ever to have CJ play that full extension out, and you'll need salary to offload if you want to add the next guy, or else we'd have to trade a Zion/BI/Trey(after his extension) to get money to work to add the next guy.

We don't, we made the big move last season and now have 3 dudes making $30mil or whatever. There are no big moves to make. The improvement has to come from health and small moves in the margins.

WIthout Zion, all of our good players are asked to fill a role one slot above what they're good enough to fill, and thats' why we lose more than we win when Zion is out.

If his thumb never heals, sure.

Did we all forget how well he played last season? AND that's more of what CJ truly is. If he's that CJ next season, he's nowhere near a negative contract. If he's always hurt, like all our players always are, and has a hand injury all of next season and the season after that, then sure, he's a negative contract.

How will you make the next big move to get the next player if we did NOT do that? Whose salary are you using?

Eh. I’m more pissed with him taking 23 shots (which is on him and WG) than I am with anything else. When he’s healthy, he’s a positive asset.

Other than BI, who was going to take them? Herb? Trey? Nance? Richardson? Marshall?

JV was the only other guy who can create his own offense and he was sitting on the bench for Nance.

I would love for Trey to take 20 shots but he isn't there yet. He's not going to force shots right now.

Jose and Zion are the only other guye who can reliably create their own offense but they aren't available.

We're very limited right now offensively when teams take Ingram away.

I didn't think shot selection was really bad.

Plus, after BI, there isn't exactly dudes who you can roll the ball to and they can go get you a bucket. Trey is starting to do those things, but he's still not there yet. After that, there's not much else on the roster for guys who can get you a bucket.

Herb learning how to put the ball in the hoop this month is also a great development.

BI plays more than double the games of Fat Boys Pizza.
