Camera Ticket in Clayton
Posted on 7/19/23 at 8:52 am

Recently received a ticket in the mail. The ending address for the ticket 3513 Hwy 65. When I Googled Mapped the ending address the posted speed limit in the image is 55 mph.
The second image is the ticket to show the ending address.
What is the best way to resolve this?
This seems to be a deceptive camera because drivers are naturally increasing their speed to 55 mph.
I will pay this ticket if necessary but the situation does seem just by what I researched.

Same way Mississippi did. Outlaw speed and red light cameras.
Or everyone just drive 10 MPH through the town till the locals go and snatch up that camera and smash it.

Only the ones that don’t know the law…which is that the speed limit is 55 after the sign, not before it.

That’s the law. That’s exactly correct.
But if they are using that placement as a way to get more tickets then that’s a heaping load of BS and people should be informing the town of a complete leadership overhaul forthcoming.

That car could be driving itself.

You’re suppose to speed up after the sign. Follow the rules

Sup? Protein bar and black coffee. Is that how this works?

OP should edit thread title to "Camera ticket in Clayton certified by prostitution seeking cop"

the camera in Clayton is manually operated by the town cop. When you drive through town and see an unmarked black Tahoe on the side of the road, he's hiding behind the truck taking pictures of your plate if the camera says you're over the limit. Just slow down if you see that - I honk at him every time I go by like, "I see you fat pervy MFer"
If you get the ticket, the camera company has already paid the town their cut and the fee is a civil court matter between you and the camera co. That's why it goes to collections. With your cell phone, start blocking the phone numbers when collections call and they'll eventually go away. DO NOT go to the website or enter any info, just ghost the whole situation.
I've bought and sold cars, registered cars, renewed licenses and plates, and never once paid a single camera ticket for speeding, red light, or otherwise. When I bought a house a few years ago, all those unpaid camera tickets were nowhere reported to any credit agency. My insurance hasn't changed, actually went down lately.

They can't do shite. So ignore it.
Also, wow, that ticket was really a testament to safety. It's crazy imagining you barreling down that isolated road at 10 over the speed limit that was artificially set low to increase revenue. You should be locked up in the parish jail!

He still lives in Ferriday in a $50k home, with 5 others. His ex-wife lives in Tejas, but he has a 30-something year old daughter that also lives in Ferriday.
Isn't this man's whole existence a miserable enough failure?
