Pearl Jam “Black”…….. i always thought it said “why do i see her?”, but it’s apparently “why do i seer?”, which also makes sense. I only realized this because I was listening to it on spotify on my phone and just so happened to be looking at the lyrics scroll across the screen. You learn something new everyday.

Easy one for me… Money for Nothing…
“We got to move these refrigerators”
I always said it as “movies, refrigerators”.
Someone on here corrected me years ago.

I convinced my dad a few years ago that the Sam hunt song body like a backroad had lyrics that said “hips like hyundai” instead of hips like honey

When Come out and play by the Offspring first came out
A friend and I used to sing “drink your milk”
Instead of “take him out”
It’s a core memory for some reason
Cuz I don’t particularly care for that song

Pearl Jam
There's no way I have any Pearl Jam song lyrics right. I'd bet I'm easily 50% wrong.

I’m not sure Eddie gets them right sometimes, lol.

I think I was well into my teens maybe twenty before I realized Drift Away didn’t include the line “give me The Beach Boys”

What's My Age Again
Thought "I wore cologne" was "I walk alone" for about a year until I got the album and read the lyrics

I'm sure I've gotten some wrong over the years, but nothing on the lines of my cousin.
She thought that the first lines of Hotel California were;
"On a dose, on a doughtay, cool whip in my hair..."

Groovin by The Young Rascals
Groovin’ on a Sunday afternoon
Really couldn’t get away too soon
Blah blah blah, more lyrics, and then:
Life would be ecstasy, you and me and Leslie?
I always knew that Leslie didn’t make sense, just never figured out what it could be. Finally looked it up a couple of months ago and was shocked that the lyrica are,
Life would be ecstasy, you and me, endlessly.

For about 40 years, I thought the line in "Rapper's Delight" was "upchuck the boogie to the rhythm of the boogity beat"
When, of course, it is "up jump the boogie"
