Any historians on here?
Were the two tribes the same and part of the creek nation? Which one did Andrew Jackson defeat?

IIRC the Seminoles were an amalgamation of tribes who had been displaced from other areas. The Seminoles hold the distinction of never having been defeated by the US army. After a couple of failed expeditions they left them alone.

It was either the Hekawis or the Fugowis.

Seminole were mostly Lower Creeks that moved into Florida from South Georgia.
And we all remember the show that was put on in Atlanta last December with a bunch of GA natives. RIP LSU

South LA was mainly Choctaw, Houma, and Atakapa with some other small tribes mixed in like Bayagoula. Oddly enough we didn’t have that many Red Sticks here

Seminole means renegade. The Creek civil war, prompted by Tecumsah and his brother consisted of the Red Sticks who wanted to return to traditional ways and unite with other tribes to push the whites out of their lands versus the Creeks who had already adopted European ways and, often, were the product of mixed marriages. Many Creeks fought with Jackson, as did the Choctaw. After the defeat of the Red Sticks at Horseshoe Bend, Holy Ground, and other places, many of the remaining Red Sticks migrated to Florida, along with runaway slaves and eventually became known as the Seminole.
The Creeks themselves were a loose confederation of towns. That name was given to them by Europeans. The British and Spanish had tried to organize and arm them as a buffer against the Americans and they were a formidable group, probably the largest at the time. William Augustus Bowles even tried to organize them into the Muskogee Nation and get the British crown to recognize them. Many, however, had adopted white ways and were half white themselves.

Basically, yes. There was an extensive trading system set up where the Creeks traded deerskins for European goods such as knives, muskets, pots and pans, fabric, jewelry and so on. Very often the traders would end up marrying the chief's daughter and moving into their town. It was a matrilineal society, so the mother's family clan was actually more important the father's clan. Many leaders had a Creek name and an English name, like William Weatherford/Red Eagle and Willian McIntosh/White Warrior. The former fought with the Red Sticks and is said to have led the massacre at Fort Mimms that triggered the American response. The latter fought with Jackson and later fought against the Seminoles. The Fort Mimms massacre was a 9/11 type event in its day, and provoked a similar response in the South.
Most think of the War of 1812 as one where the US lost most of the battles, and that's true in the north, but in the southern theatre, Jackson broke the power of the Creek nation, which sped the creation of Alabama and Mississipi, convinced the Spanish to sell out for whatever they could get and, with the Battle of New Orleans, settled the question of whether the Louisiana Purchase was legit. The Brits and the Spanish Bourbon family (in exile while Napoleon's brother was on the throne) argued that Napoleon had no right to sell Louisiana.

Defeated both. Red sticks just prior to the battle of New Orleans. Seminoles during the 1st Seminole War 1819 or so.
Seminoles needed 2 more wars, so I guess he did a better job with the red stick creeks.

Here a little-known incident that was one of the precursors to the first Seminole War.
Battle of the Negro Fort
There were several wars with the Seminole, and also with the Creek, though the first Creek war was certainly bigger and better known. The US, particularly in Tennessee and Georgia, reacted quite violently to the massacre at Fort Mimms.
