I don’t order salads while dining but I’ll grab a La Madeline classic and enjoy the hell out of it.

Timely topic. 100th anniversary today.
I don't really have a favorite now but years ago I used to enjoy table side preparation at the Hyatt on river street in Savannah.

That's one that always stood out to me. I liked it too. No shame. I feel like it had a little kick to it or something.
My only rule is no anchovies.

This.
It's very likely if you have a good Caesar salad, it has anchovy paste in the dressing.

Original recipe has no anchovy other than what is in Worcestershire sauce. That was added later by others.

I don't mind if it's in the dressing. I'm sure I've had that.
I had a restaurant one time put the things in the salad. I'm guessing that's a very rare thing.

Kinda random, but best I’ve ever had was at BR Prime Steakhouse in Beau Rivage for a bachelor party. It had whole white anchovies and was awesome. I’m not a casino resort guy, but I’ve considered going back just for that salad.

Original recipe
Romaine lettuce is my favorite salad base, so I love a Caesar salad. I never found a restaurant in Shreveport that made what I would call an authentic one.

Coddled for one minute. Julia Child went to Tijuana and watched Cardini prepare it and included it in one of her cookbooks.
Mash for Julia's recipe

In BR Nino's has a very nice Caesar Salad. Chef Elton used to make it with olive tapenade on the croutons but sadly he stopped doing this.
I like the one at Jacmel Inn in Hammond as well.
Flemmings caesar with crispy procuitto and fried capers is very good too.

The Steakhouse inside of El Dorado used to make a good one table side, but that was several years ago

Frank’s Pizza in Shreveport makes a damned good Caesar. They also fry oysters as good as they get, and you can add a few on top of your Caesar.
