Finally got around to watching it. Man, that was a sad story. But, the Von Eric family were some big boys. Wonder why they cast some midgets to play them.
And the guy who played flair was horrible

How many 6'+ major actors do you think exist in Hollywood?
Let alone ones who would get jacked.
Glenn Powell looks like a monster in most movies and he's like 6-0

This seems to be everyone’s biggest criticism

They at least could have cast someone somewhat imposing for Kerry. Kerry was the specimen of the family. And this is who you cast-

Looks a lot like Kerry but Kerry seemed like he was almost ultimate warrior size back in the day. But like slow said who is going to look like that and be a good actor.
ETA: he pretty much was.

The casting ruined the movie
Can’t recommend it
They literally went with midgets in the roles. I died laughing while watching it when I realized that little skinny guy was supposed to be Kerry, who was bigger than Arnold Schwarzenegger.

i knew who they were because i grew up in Texas in the 80s.
the craziest thing is that they really only cover 3 deaths in the movie, when in fact, 5/6 brothers died.
Seeing that Kevin took his whole family and moved them all to Hawaii to be together and is still happy today was incredibly cathartic at the end.
Casting was a problem for sure, but i really enjoyed this one.

Yeah man that was tough to watch I thought. Really depressing.

He was god awful. His "wooo!" sounded like a screeching animal.

The fact that Kerry only had 1 leg and was still wrestling in the WWE is incredible. Probably the best pure athlete they've ever had next to Kurt Angle.

he really did. Flair's woooo was always smooth...I mean he didn't watch any old videos...

Zac Effron looking like Marv from Sin City made this movie fun for me. He's a shoe in for the live action He-Man movie coming up. Story wise, they left an entire Von Erich off that was probably the saddest death in the family, and made Fritz out to be the bad guy. frick all that. I hoped Kevin was above a Vanity project on him, but he wasn't.

Zac Effron
He and the guy from The Bear that played Kerry both displayed the emotional depth and range of an old shoe in their portrayal of the brothers.
