Was wondering what military veterans on PT who support trump opinion about his remarks about MOH recipients not being as important as the Presidential MOF? Disrespectful or not and go…

Ok. I just looked it up. Suck a dick. It was nothing about being less important.

Combat Veteran with more than 100 combat engagements. He didn't say that. He said it's better because if you get a MOH you're most likely badly injured or died in action and the person he was speaking about was " in great health".

Unlike you I'm not a pussy that lets FEELINGS be stronger than facts.

Do you think MOH recipients are happy they had to do what they did to earn them?

Dumbass.

This bullshite " gotcha" is scummier than the " good people on both sides" lie they tried to push. I'm sure OP and others will echo it for the next decade.

MOH and MOF are not similar and should never be discussed together - there is no other reason to bring them up unless the purpose is to compare them. All the people saying he's not trying to compare them are wrong. He's definitely making a comparison and he's doing so in order to suck up to Israel and a lady with billions of dollars. Doing it in front of Israeli flags just makes it worse.

Trump fans will dismiss this - it's the same cult-like behavior seen with Democrats.

Miriam Adelson is the widow of Sheldon Adelson. According to the Intelligencer:
It appears Trump was trying to patch things up with Adelson after he had an aide “fire off a series of angry text messages” to his benefactor. The New York Times reported last week:

The texts were particularly jarring because Mrs. Adelson and Mr. Trump had a friendly meeting just a week earlier at the Republican National Convention, according to a person briefed on the matter.

The texts complained about the people running Mrs. Adelson’s super PAC, Preserve America, into which she is pouring millions of dollars to support Mr. Trump.

At the time, Preserve America was spending nearly $18 million on a week’s worth of ads aiding Mr. Trump in three battleground states. The texts said that the officials running Preserve America were “RINOs” — Republicans in name only — and that Mrs. Adelson’s late husband would never have tolerated that, the people said.

Yes, he's insulting MOH recipients. Yes, he's sucking up to Israel and a donor, yet again.

It appears Adelson is another dual citizen of both Israel and the US, and this seems to always be attached to an Israel-first position. Not surprising his comments come with Israeli flags in the background.

Let's see an entry from Wiki:
Adelson has stated the "top issue in the Jewish community is the survival of the Jewish people." Rabbi Shmuley Boteach described her as "arguably the proudest Jew I have met."[7] A strong supporter of Israel, she has said that her heart is in that country and that she got "stuck" in America after meeting her husband.[12] She is credited with influencing his political views on Israel, who was "inspired by [her] Zionism, and from there began a public and philanthropic campaign unique in our generation".[24] Adelson is a financial supporter of the Zionist Organization of America, the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum and memorial in Jerusalem, and various U.S. groups that fundraise for the Israeli military.[25]

Wiki is not the only source citing her as saying she was stuck in America by virtue of marrying Sheldon Adelson.

I have now seen so much 'Israel first' stuff and it's ridiculous. Lady has billions and Sheldon is dead. Maybe it's time for her to pack up and go back to Israel. She is no longer "stuck" in America. After seeing what's happened since Oct 7th, however, it seems obvious why she remains in America: to pull political strings in order to favor Israel. Not America. Just Israel.

She also does things like fundraising for the Israeli military. I wonder if she has registered under FARA. That seems to never apply to things tied to Israel, like AIPAC.

Well that’s unfortunate. For you. It’s so problematic in a surprising array of ways that I’m sending you all the way down from the big show to single-A ball. Honestly I won’t even allow any time to explain further. Plus I don’t think it would be useful in any way and would unavoidably come across as insulting in tone. Not that I would expect you to even care. But just in case you secretly do - just do better. And in particular, evolve from that lazy, empty and thoughtless “it’s gotta be a cult” mindset.

**And I wish only good things for you. Seriously.

Trump was trying to make a point but as sometimes happens he states it in a way that the media can twist it and create another distraction that takes the focus off of his political message. Its infuriating. Trump and Vance should speak only of policy, policy, policy over and over. Quit the cute comments, quit editorializing, no more talk about how to pronounce her name or what race she is. The despicable and deplorable media will try to goad them into discussing the irrelevant things and they need to shift the discussion back to their policies and how the nation will be better off without the harmful Biden / Harris policies.

Nothing in that drivel had anything to do with the MOH or MOF.

Thank you for the in-depth reply, however most on here want short answers so I highlighted the best and most correct answer.

Trump feels terribly that one has to experience the horror of war in order to get a MOH.

Below is the citation for Master Sergeant Roy Benavidez, recipient of the MOH. Juxtapose this with the work of Miriam Adelson, who is focused on a foreign country. Benavidez did more for this nation on one morning in Vietnam than Miriam Adelson will ever do for this country.

Just like cancelling the vaccine panel when Pfizer gave him money, Trump will do whatever his masters in the Israel-first lobby tell him to do, because they give him money.

M/Sgt. (then S/Sgt.) Roy P. Benavidez, United States Army, who distinguished himself by a series of daring and extremely valorous actions on 2 May 1968 while assigned to Detachment B-56, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), 1st Special Forces, Republic of Vietnam. On the morning of 2 May 1968, a 12-man Special Forces Reconnaissance Team was inserted by helicopters in a dense jungle area west of Loc Ninh, Vietnam, to gather intelligence information about confirmed large-scale enemy activity. This area was controlled and routinely patrolled by the North Vietnamese Army. After a short period of time on the ground, the team met heavy enemy resistance, and requested emergency extraction. Three helicopters attempted extraction, but were unable to land due to intense enemy small-arms and anti-aircraft fire. Sgt. Benavidez was at the Forward Operating Base in Loc Ninh monitoring the operation by radio when these helicopters returned to off-load wounded crewmembers and to assess aircraft damage. Sgt. Benevidez voluntarily boarded a returning aircraft to assist in another extraction attempt. Realizing that all the team members were either dead or wounded and unable to move to the pickup zone, he directed the aircraft to a nearby clearing while he jumped from the hovering helicopter, and ran approximately 75 meters under withering small-arms fire to the crippled team. Prior to reaching the team's position he was wounded in his right leg, face, and head. Despite these painful injuries, he took charge, repositioning the team members and directing their fire to facilitate the landing of the extraction aircraft and the loading of the wounded and dead team members. He then threw smoke canisters to direct the aircraft to the team's position. Despite his severe wounds and under intense enemy fire, he carried and dragged half of the wounded team members to the awaiting aircraft. He then provided protective fire by running alongside the aircraft as it moved to pick up the remaining team members. As the enemy's fire intensified, he hurried to recover the body and classified documents on the dead team leader. When he reached the leader's body, Sgt. Benevidez was severely wounded by small-arms fire in the abdomen and grenade fragments in his back. At nearly the same moment, the aircraft pilot was mortally wounded, and his helicopter crashed. Although in extremely critical condition due to his multiple wounds, Sgt. Benevidez secured the classified documents and made his way back to the wreckage, where he aided the wounded out of the overturned aircraft, and gathered the stunned survivors into a defensive perimeter. Under increasing enemy automatic-weapons and grenade fire, he moved around the perimeter distributing water and ammunition to his weary men, reinstilling in them a will to live and fight. Facing a buildup of enemy opposition with a beleaguered team, Sgt. Benevidez mustered his strength, began calling in tactical air strikes and directed the fire from supporting gunships to suppress the enemy's fire and so permitted another extraction attempt. He was wounded again in his thigh by small-arms fire while administering first aid to a wounded team member just before another extraction helicopter was able to land. His indomitable spirit kept him going as he began to ferry his comrades to the craft. On his second trip with the wounded, he was clubbed from additional wounds to his head and arms before killing his adversary. He then continued under devastating fire to carry the wounded to the helicopter. Upon reaching the aircraft, he spotted and killed two enemy soldiers who were rushing the craft from an angle that prevented the aircraft door-gunner from firing upon them. With little strength remaining, he made one last trip to the perimeter to ensure that all classified material had been collected or destroyed and to bring in the remaining wounded. Only then, in extremely serious condition from numerous wounds and loss of blood, did he allow himself to be pulled into the extraction aircraft. Sgt. Benevidez' gallant choice to join voluntarily his comrades who were in critical straits, to expose himself constantly to withering enemy fire, and his refusal to be stopped despite numerous severe wounds, saved the lives of at least eight men. His fearless personal leadership, tenacious devotion to duty, and extremely valorous actions in the face of overwhelming odds were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect the utmost credit on him and the United States Army.
