Good, the three shows I watched when I got my black Friday deal for a month of Paramount were Frasier, Mayor of Kingstown, and Tulsa King. Now all I need is another black Friday deal to catch them all again (if needed, will get a regular subscription to see them.)

Was season 1 of the reboot worth a watch?

I never gave it any thought since I assumed it'd suck but I really love Frasier (the original run) so if this was good enogh for a season 2 maybe I'm missing out.

I enjoyed it, and Frasier is my favorite sitcom ever. It's not as good as the original obviously but IMO its way better than all the other shows being brought back.

This is how I feel about it to. I enjoyed it and thought it was fairly good but the original series is a very high bar to match

overall, the new cast is pretty likable.

Alan is probably my favorite of the new, he and Frasier play well off of each other.
Freddy is good
David is kind of annoying but has his moments
I like Eve and Olivia for the most part as well.

It started off a bit campy but found it's feet, and the actor playing Freddie is pretty good.

We're looking forward to season 2.

I have only watched the first 3 episodes and that was months ago. I do plan on finishing it soon. It was decent. Thought the kid was kinda annoying and you definitely miss Niles.

It’s definitely worth a watch.

It obviously wasn’t the original show, mainly because DHP and JM were the true “stars”
of the original, but it had some moments where it was very good and was mostly entertaining throughout. I actually did a rewatch around the same time of the first episodes of Frazier - and in a similar fashion it took them a little bit of time to truly hash out all the supporting characters. There were some good moments from both Frazier and Freddy’s coworkers.

Looking at the trailer and seeing Roz and Bulldog makes me hopeful that the second season will be better than the first. I’m hoping with him being in Boston, he might run in to someone from the old Cheers gang, or even introduce a character like one of Carla’s kids.

not really

k but I really love Frasier (the original run)
me too. the guys who made Frasier were great at what they did. Kelsey is just not as good as those guys were unfortunately. He's a solid lead actor but not nearly good enough to carry a show.

The Christmas episode/finale was legitemetly good.

The production quality is extremely high and so is the acting. It kind of blows every other sitcoms currently out of the water, but that is also not a high mark to clear.

The general consensus here is my view as well. Not as good as the original but it’s good and definitely worth a watch.

This is how I feel as well. I felt a bit uneasy the first few episodes but thought the cast really started getting into a rhythm to close out the season. I went from cautiously optimistic regarding season 1 to excited for season 2.

This is the most accurate review.

The laugh track and bad acting by several of the new cast members in the pilot is jarring, but they start to figure some things out pretty quick.

This is accurate, it definitely gets better as the season goes on and the finale is legitimately really good. I'm excited for season 2 to see how much better it can be.

They also made an almost series killing joke in the first season.

Frasier acted like he didn’t know how to pronounce the Boston Celtics.

He lived in Boston for over a decade and hung out with Kevin McHale.

It’s inexcusable that nobody in the room pointed that out during writing and filming.

Anyone still watching? I thought the last episode about the Murder Mystery party was one of the best of the new series. It made me laugh a lot.

I am. It's okay...not great but not bad. The Murder Mystery was a very good episode. Most of the episodes have a bit more "hack" to them than the original series. By that I mean overacting or cliched comedic acting. The original Frasier felt pretty smart and tight which is a credit to great writing. This version is a good step below that and more akin to a mainstream sitcom.

Frasier (the character) is still Frasier which is good. His old British friend is consistently the funniest character in the show and I look forward to him.

Freddie is okay. Some good scenes followed by not so good scenes. Same with the female head of the department.

David is horrible and pretty much kills any scene he is in. New side characters are a mixed bag although some grow on me (like one of the professors in the Murder Mystery that was crucial to the plot).
