Only really been to one. ACL in 2004, which had one hell of a lineup (look it up if you don't believe me). Austin in July - nearly died from the heat

Almost went to Jazzfest to see Van Morrison, but it was very bad weather & some guy convinced me VM live was not worth the effort. Still regret that...

Probably been to my last festival. Its too damn hot, many people I'd want too see are dying off, and every year they cater more and more to the rap demo.

Other than the local ones, I went to ACL in 2015 I think it was. Was a good time. Haven't been to any others, and despite being old for that age group, I still wanna check some of them out if they have good music. Unfortunately, I don't know most of the acts that go to these festivals.

Going to Bourbon and Beyond for the first time. Daily lineups being released one day at a time - Thursday 8/19 was released today. Overall the deepest lineup I’ve seen for a fest, though I’m apprehensive about this “fest” experience (small clear bags, only a towel to sit on, $20 bourbon drinks, little shade and lots of gravel from what I hear).

Going mostly for the music and side tour of bourbon country.

Been to Ozzfest a couple of times and did a progressive rock cruise once but other than that I'm not really a fan of festivals.

Been to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass once, back in 2010 or so. Loved it, free, lots of stages really spread out and packed since it's free. Now I probably wouldn't like it since my desire to be in crowded spaces is not what it used to be.

I go to Sea Hear Now every year since it started, but it's also three blocks from my house.

jazz Fest yearly as well.

Tortuga on the Ft Lauderdale beach was great. Kenny Chesney closing the event on the sand was something I really enjoyed.

ACL - 2015
SXSW - 2003-2007
Warped Tour - 2000-2004
Jazzfest - Too many to count

The only overrated ones were SXSW and Warped Tour during the last years I went. Got way too corporate.

I think the last festival concert I went to was Zephyfest in the mid to late 90s.

Highwater Fest in North Charleston is a lot of fun. Great location on the water with ships slowly rolling by. Great food. Plenty of bathrooms. This year featured Noah Kahan who sucks but is very popular with the young people so it sold out quickly. Shaky Knees on Saturday was fun. That festival usually has some really good music. Pissed i am going to miss Marcus King Band Family Reunion festival this weekend.

Hangout before they completely changed the type of acts they booked was incredible. Great bands on the beach, sleep in a condo at night. Couldn't beat it. I will forever hold a grudge against whoever changed it.

Bonnaroo was fun the two times I went, but that is definitely a young man's game.

This is the best festival I've ever attended. Extremely well run, mild temps when we went.

We had VIP which allowed some tent access but drinks were still pricey...still, not that much more than Jazz Fest and its inflated costs.

RIP Wanee. I loved that festival. I went to it's sister festival Peach Festival after Wanee closed down. Peach was great, just a long drive for me. But I believe those Live Nation frickers may have kill Peach as well.

I went to Hangout the first 5 or so years. It was a lot of fun, diverse line ups on the beach. But the line up now is horrible and won't consider going back.

Good to know. We're going 3 days - VIP for Friday and Sunday; GA for Saturday. VIP wasn't super expensive and was highly recommended. Looking at the infield setup it looks like VIP is huge - about 20 yards deep and one side of the infield with tents.

VIP sold out for Saturday months ago due to Zach Bryan effect. We'll check out secondary stages that day (and hang out in back for Whiskey Myers, Cody Jinks and Z. Bryan). Saw Bryan at the dome already anyway.

Glad to have VIP for Tedeschi Trucks and DMB Friday and Tyler Childers, My Morning Jacket, and others Sunday (cubes not yet released for Sunday). They do have some tough conflicts on the competing stages. Red Clay Strays playing the same time as Tedeschi Trucks for example.

Pic of VIP/GA divide-I have zero desire to try to get to the front of GA.

For Pearl Jam, we were along that wall on the right side (stage left) probably just past the purple/orange tent. It sure didn't seem that packed

The purple/orange tent had a ton of drink lines so none were super long. Glad you were able to get VIP for a couple of days.
