TRT Treatment

I’m in my mid 40s and was diagnosed with lower T levels in the mid 200s. Doctor put me on .5 ml test shots about every five days. For those on T, does this seem like a high dose or about average? I’ve noticed more acne and mood swings since I’ve been on this.

Doc started me at 0.75ml/150mg per week. My dose is now 0.5ml/100mg per week and my free test stays right at 1000. The mood swings and acne went away after a few months.

Good to know that it went away. I was going to give it a few months and get another test to see where I’m at.

I try to keep to myself for 3 days after an injection.

Hell I usually just follow my wife around while breathing heavily

you arent having mood swings from the test when you are well within normal levels
its in your head
roid rage is a myth, been proven over and over with very few exceptions. tren being one of them.

Hell it's made my moods better since I'm feeling so good all the time.
My wife has said that it's made me less likely to keep my mouth shut when I notice bullsh*t happening.

What's the downside to TRT therapy?

There isn't one you are just replacing a deficiency to get back to optimal levels. Nobody is getting mood swings from 100mg to 200mg a week of any testosterone. Only downside would be the weekly injections.

I’m 72 and my test was at 489 a few months ago. I may get on some in the near future to assist in staying fit. Never tried it but doc mentioned it to me due to age and desire to stay active….wink, wink….

That's awesome. I seen 20 and 30yrs old getting on it for no reason other than it being legal.

The lifelong commitment.

I would say the biggest drawback is that you are on it for life. You may see some side effects, like polycythemia, acne, and thinning hair. Keep your blood levels checked and you'll be good. The acne should subside and your hair will only thin if you are prone to it. I actually went to Turkey and got a hair transplant for a few thousand dollars, and mine is way thicker than before. All in all, TRT can change your life. I started TRT about 12 years ago with no regrets.

For the fellas on trt, are yall doing the shots, cream or pellet?

I'm on the shots. The doc I go to will do the Biote pellets but even he is on injections. I think the pellets take longer to start working and then towards the end of the pellet life your levels will start tapering down. Basically a longer bell curve vs the injections. Plus there's the benefit of being able to a lil blast every now and then if you have extra vials laying around.

Not to hijack but figure keep it in one place:
My total is 542 ng/dl
Free Direct is 7.9 pg/ml
Is that low? 47.5 year old.

This.

The biggest problem with the shots is poking yourself in the arse and jamming the plunger down while in an awkward position (it’s oil, so it’s more viscous than you’d expect.) nobody clued me in to warm the bottle before pulling the dose to make it easier to get into your cheek.
