Is this the year Terry Matheson finally gets invited into the war room?

I mean, seriously? I have no idea how this show has lasted this long.

There needs to be studies done on this show and how it has maintained an audience.

I despise the people who watch these shows. It’s the reason history channel no longer airs actual history shows

I stopped paying attention, let alone watching, years ago.

Despite no National Treasure level vault full of gold and ancient relics, there's still some really weird stuff there, right?

Is there a common academic explanation? Like it's just some abandoned mine? I've never bothered to delve into it that much.

People that wear masks inside their cars watch this stupid shite. It’s the only explanation for them actually having an audience.

honestly, I assume by now they found something worth a few bucks a long time ago and that's just continued to pay for their new hobby of finding useless things now

If the underground structure is still a mystery, that’s still worthwhile. It may not be a hidden vault for the knights Templar, but that still doesn’t explain what the hell it actually is.

It’s an island located near what was a relatively busy trade route for ships for centuries. It had full time occupants, farms, and no doubt some sort of boat works there. The inhabitants probably also had family heirlooms that went back even further in history.

If you walk around the sugarcane fields west of Donaldsonville after they’ve been plowed up, you’ll find stuff going back over 200 years (not counting Indian stuff) and that place is a lot “younger” than Oak Island.

Alot of the timbers, etc they find seem to be from prior diggers. In one episode, they told a story of some people who went there right after the Pirates supposedly buried stuff and came back with 2 chests of treasure. Maybe it’s all gone.

Aren't there sinkholes and depressions all over the island?

Take a drink every time the narrator asks a question. shite-housed by the end of the episode.

Same for "Swamp People". How many alligators has Troy Landry and the others killed in the 16 seasons it's been on the air? Yeah, that's right, 16 seasons.

It's not like they do anything differently from year to year to catch and kill gators other than occasionally have to use a different bait to get them to bite in the first place.

Other than that, it's rinse and repeat.
