My dishwasher just went tits up (Maytag). Looking at Bosch to replace it. Looking for input. Would you recommend it? Or look at other brands. Any information would be appreciated.

Worth it. Way cheaper than a wife
ETA: we had the top of the line, consumer rated number one Maytag/GE/worlpool whatever and were not satisfied. We like the $1100 Bosch so far. The internal baskets are not great and no drying feature is something to get used to but it works every time.

I’m sure I’m in the minority but we bought a new Bosch when we moved into our house and it lasted 3 years. Pump went out had it repaired, some sort of bearing went out not long after that had it replaced, then the damn thing started making some awful racket so we replaced it with a kitchenade

I like the dishwasher but wheels fell off of bottom basket and the whirly thing at top dropped off. No abuse. Maybe installer did a bad job. It does clean and has no heat to dry. The quick cycle takes about 1 1/2 hours.

Just got a 500 series. Like it so far. Auto air doesn’t get plastic and cups on the top rack dry but that’s not a dealbreaker for us.

Yes. We got a nice Bosch when we fully remodeled the house. My wife has been using it since August and much better than the one we had before.

10 years ago, Bosch were the best.

Having owned one 10 years ago and another different one in the past few years, the build quality lately is not as good as it was.

The 3 rack Kitchenaid is just as quiet and at least as good as the current Bosch line.

We have abused ours for 13 years and it’s still going strong. I cook at least twice a day and there were four of us for 10 of those years. It gets used a LOT. I had to replace the drain pump about 5 years in bc a piece of glass wrecked the fins. Cheap and easy repair. Highly recommend.

been a huge maytag / whirlpool appliance fan over 40+ years and bought our first Bosch dishwasher a couple years ago on recommendation from a good friend.

yes - they're definitely worth it and I wouldn't consider anything else

Don't know if their other appliances are as great or not though?

I just put a lower end model Bosch, their 100 series. We love it for the price.
We give it hell and have zero complaints thus far.

I have had a 500 series for about 3-4 years and have no complaints. It's super quiet and does a good job cleaning. Agree with some of the others about cups, but auto air will get them dry for me if i have the time for that one. We almost always just use the 1hr wash (really like 1:20).

Mine is great but recently has stopped drying worth a shite. Something must've broken or be wrong. Haven't had time to investigate.

Still cleans really well and is completely silent.

Just got one last week. Love it so far. 1 hour cycle does great.

I've had one for 8 years - the only issue ive had is a clip for the basket to roll on the track and I ordered it and replaced it myself in 30 seconds. Would buy over and over.

Great as long as you keep them clean inside. Otherwise they will develop door seal leaks and other issues.
