First you make a roux....

Yes, I know we have a Food/Drink board. But this one gets more traffic.
I made white gravy last night to go with supper and could help but think of the long standing meme on here, "First you make a roux...." The question that came into my mind while stirring is/was do ya'll prefer white gravy or brown?
I'll hang up and listen...

White gravy on biscuits and chicken fried steak.
Brown gravy on everything else.
