Nuss comes in about 9:25 mark. But check out his play and throw at about 13:35.

Buddy, since Brian Kelly and Brad Davis have been here, we’ve had the worst traditional rushing attack in the SEC. We don’t block well and we don’t run well.

The only time we’ve had a 1000 yard rusher under Kelly is 2023 with Jayden.

Did you watch that shite show last Saturday? LSU is going nowhere with Nuss as quarterback. He is a lost cause. Time to move on.

Disagree. At least not any meaningful games.

Nuss is/was a great QB. Something is wrong with him.

Yeah as long as the defense holds opponents to less than 20

Troy Aikman said it pretty well
In reference to the Bengals after MNF. You don’t just suddenly develop a physical identity and ability to run the football.

Look, I’m as big a Nuss supporter as anyone, but it really depends on how much he is limited. Assuming he has the same issues running as last year, whether that being refusal, injury or whatever, then he has to be able to make the throws.
If his ability to throw the ball is limited by injury or anything else, then what is he doing out there? It won’t matter if he’s making the correct reads and putting them in the best plays. If you can’t execute, it doesn’t matter.
They refuse to run the ball, unless it’s a WR, so everything is on his shoulders. And if he is severely limited, which it looks like he is, then it’s not looking good for many more wins

I think there's a domino effect. I'm not sure what the first domino is, but Nuss' injury affects his decision-making and the plays that should "be there." The blocking is a disgrace for an SEC team. So "wide-ooen" plays Sloan sees and calls we face plant on.

When we (fans) distill it all down to one cause, we whiff as well.

Even last year, our OLinemen just stood up instead of ramming forward on 4th and short.....they still do the same thing and don't move anyone. Just ridiculously awful oline coaching. start there with replacing a coach if we want to actually improve.

not even close. He is injured and injured to a point of significant pain when he rotates his trunk. He needs to sit for bye week and SC week. then come back healthy, hopefully, and take our offense into a different gear, hopefully without Davis, Sloan.

And the defense scores some points.

Yep.

#13 doesn't even look like the same guy as #18. The throws he was making then hardly look real.

I keep going back to the throw to Jaray. He just casually flicked it across his body 45 yds.

Regardless of what Scarborough says, Nuss isn't throwing it like he used to.

Brother, now come on now we’ve sat here through 5 games and LSU can’t come anywhere close to mustering up a run game. This Oline is as bad as any power 4 Oline I’ve ever seen. When you can’t even create a single hole and get your shite pushed in by the likes of La. Tech, Southeastern and a horrible bottom tier SEC Ole Miss run defense, idk who you think LSU can possibly commit to a run game against on the remaining schedule other than maybe and just maybe against an all time bad Arkansas defense or Western Kentucky.

I predict LSU to not even surpass 50 yds rushing against Vandy, A&M, and for damn sure Alabama and Oklahoma.

I agree. I was just saying the number of plays that they can run are necessarily limited because of the injury and the problems (whatever those might be) in blocking - not just offensive line.

Some wide receivers are either running wrong routes on occasion or they are just running some weirdly designed plays.

With all these factors, the only things the coaches can control are personnel and play calls. If they don’t have plays to take advantage of what their personnel can do and be successful and productive, then they have to change the personnel. If the plays don’t work with any of the types of players they have recruited, then that’s a much deeper problem.

To put it plainly, it’s on the coaches. They’re trying to fit round pegs into square holes.
Whether they started the dominoes falling (starting with evaluation and recruiting, coaching and development, and offensive scheme or defensive scheme) or not, it’s up to them to halt the continued collapse of those dominoes.

The special jersey numbers are cursed. Any player that gets #18 or #7 either gets way worse or is just a non-factor. They need to stop doing that.
