In a few weeks you'll just be Ole Miss once again out of Oxford, MS. You'll be reduced to recruiting against Bama and LSU. The sensation of imagining your program as a dynasty is fleeting.

They’re trying to close out their best season ever, and are in the best 6 year run in school history.
Time will tell if Golding can maintain, but the notion that they’re automatically going to be basement dwellers again is ignorant.
ETA: I personally don’t believe Golding will be successful, but it’s far from a given.

There’s a good chance of it.
The portal and NIL give teams like Ole Miss, Indiana, Texas Tech, etc a chance to regularly compete at a high level when it otherwise couldn’t.

Let them enjoy themselves, they deserved to win and did. I admit that I found myself pulling for them on that last drive. Kirby is not very likable and they got what they deserved with those bonehead coaching decisions. Great game and congrats to the Rebels.

Uh, they have so far. You think their donors are just going to stop giving now that LK left? That’s absurd. This will invigorate them, if anything. They don’t have to have the most money, hurt a willingness to spend as much as they can afford. Texas and Texas A&M have much more money and have not thrived anymore than Ole Miss.
We are going to be great with Kiffin, but dismissing Ole Miss, as much as I hate to admit it, is a childish and comically bad take.

Ole Miss is the SEC’s last hope for not going 0-3 in the last three years for a championship. This is definitely a new world order. Not necessarily Ole Miss and Indiana, but a new world where the SEC is not going to dominate national championships the way it did from 2006-2022.

This CFP is going to help OM tremendously in the portal. If they can keep a flow of solid players they will be difficult if they get a good OC.
