Drop your thoughts below.
Curious as to the discussion we can have here.
Really feels like a lot of suspiciously timed actions on the part of Ole Miss are occurring while Sorsby is visiting.

So, is this final or can Chambliss appeal in any meaningful way?

Luckily for him it doesn’t matter. He will be drafted second round at worst.

This letter Ole Miss is submitting is the appeal, to my knowledge.
You have to read the top and bottom part of Thamel’s report all at once for it to make sense.

Its a very high risk/low reward if he comes back and play under a new OC/scheme.
If im Chambliss... its either play under Lane/Weiss or head to the NFL this year. This is a very weak QB class. You gotta go when you're hot.

I’m not sure how I feel about this. Do we want him granted? There is no sure thing he comes here anyway.

For the posters posting about the waiver being denied need to read both parts as one whole statement. It says “it would be absurd to conclude that the info provided does not constitute adequate medical documentation”.

The use of the ostensible future tense "would be" does not mean it hasn't already been denied. This is common verbiage used in briefs to describe a future ruling (if it is not on appeal), or a past ruling (if it is on appeal). I wouldn't read too much into that.

Ole Miss stopped pushing as hard when they felt Lane would take him. Now with the news of Sorsby possibly to LSU, they are pushing ahead for Chambliss. Like a soap opera

Thinking the same thing. Ole Tom’s recent track record indicates he’ll do everything in his power to get Chambliss a 6th year.
Then stroke out during a very public hissy fit when Trinidad immediately transfers to LSU.

Somebody had reported - possibly Moscona, so take it for what it's worth - that the issue was that Ferris St. wouldn't certify to the NCAA that Chambliss didn't play because of the medical issues, because he had been beaten out for the starting job. In other words, all those medical records, and the letter from the doctor, wouldn't matter a lick if he was slated to be sitting on the bench anyway.
Does anybody know if realistic expectation of playing is part of the criteria for a medical redshirt?
