He’s probably just trying to get as much money as he can. Top players are now like coaching searches. Nothing means much anymore. Decking himself out in lsu gear could easily just be to make another team nervous. These guys have agents now.

The way the portal has gone so far, i have hardly any confidence that LSU gets Coleman.
This portal has really opened my eyes to the fact that it really doesn’t matter who your coach is or how good the scheme/system it is, if you don’t pony up the money like these other schools are doing, then you ain’t getting squat. I actually thought top quality talent would just flock to LSU and want to play with Lane regardless. Boy was I a dumbass for thinking that.

Prestige, facilities, coaches tradition ...none of that matters now. All that matters is money and until there's some sort of balance in the system it's gonna continue like this. Why do you think the NFL has a rookie salary pay scale. Because it got out of control and even billionaires will start to squirm when losing millions and millions to players they pay a shite ton of money to that don't pan out. That shite will wear thin quickly just wait and see

well, it still matters because the typical spenders in the portal/recruiting have those things.
Its not like its Vandy out there outbidding us. OSU should be the favorite for a guy that's from that area and has no connections to this staff.
