Going to have to come to realization

that CLK,Glasscock and company don't build their rosters the same as how AT and BK did. They aren't necessarily only going to land the biggest names/players. A lot of OM's best players were nobody's prior to their coming there. Good news for CLK is that he CAN actually compete for the best of the best players now that he's at LSU, and we will get a few. But don't be discouraged that a lot of these commits won't be the best of the best. It obviously worked for OM and didn't work for us when we recruited only the best of the best. Trust trust their ability to evaluate talent and let the chips fall where they may.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't doscouraged. I thought we'd be more organized and have all the guys we wanted ready to commit on 1/2. I didn't think we'd be swinging and missing so much out of the gate.
I do still believe LK is the guy and he will win on Saturdays. But all of you are lying if you say this is what you expected thus far.

Laugh if you'd like but AT had all his ducks in a row and even with BK as HC he would have us grabbing top guys right away.

Kiffin and company find the guys with the best tape and who are the best scheme fits. The exact opposite was true with BK and our offense this year. He just went out and paid a bunch of random WRs and they were all underwhelming

With all due respect, how in the actual frick would you know how the organization is behind the scenes? You think they’re just shooting from the hip? That they don’t actually have a plan?
Sometimes money isn’t everything. Who the hell actually knows what motivates some of these top guys for deciding where they go?
It’s absolutely insane to me that people are melting the way that they are a couple days into the transfer period but I guess I should never be surprised at the depth of stupidity and unrealistic expectations around this fricking place

This is a fair reaction considering Kiffin's press conference and subsequent tweets.
I too believed we'd be stacking top guys because Lane implied he'd already had conversations with a lot of them.
It's also weird that Lane seemed to be so big on keeping the LA talent in LA, but lets guys like TaRon, JJ, and Breaux walk.

I wouldn't say that posting that I'd thought we'd be a bigger player out of the gate as melting. Liek I already said, I think LK is the right guy. It just hasn't looked like we expected out of the gate.

I'm literally not worked up at all. Just saying that Lane Kiffin himself said that people were lined up wanting to play in his system.
What happens on Saturdays in the fall is all that really matters. If we can win a Natty with a bunch of transfers ranked in the 400s, thats perfectly fine with me.
Again, anyone who thought we'd start this slow in the portal is a liar.

the first day? there are 4 teams left still playing how do we know some of the guys from those teams won't enter portal that may be better than who is in the portal now?

Last year we did operate like that. I get that it didn't work like we wanted but I'd argue that was an X's and O's problem, not a Jimmy and Joe problem.
