Class-action lawsuit claims McDonald’s McRib doesn’t actually contain rib meat

The lawsuit claims McDonald’s is deceiving customers who “reasonably (but mistakenly) believe that a product named the ‘McRib’ will include at least some meaningful quantity of actual pork rib meat.”

McDonald’s describes the McRib as “seasoned boneless pork dipped in a tangy BBQ sauce, topped with slivered onions and tangy pickles, all served on a toasted homestyle bun.”
The lawsuit claims that McDonald’s knows it is misleading consumers because it includes “Rib” in the name of the McRib and goes “out of its way to shape the sandwich’s patty into the shape of a pork rib.”

I am actually a huge McDonald's fan.

Not at all...you should google "famous false advertising lawsuites". Individuals and groups have been successfully suing or settling lawsuites purely bases on false advertising, even when no other harm was done to the plaintiff. Taco Bell, Reebok and many more have paid out settlements.
