On3 Team Transfer Portal Rankings

LSU is currently ranked 54th. I had to load the next page because the first page stopped at 50. I’m all aboard the Lane Train but why TF did we lose so many players? Not all were studs, but still? We need ALOT of new players to recoup the losses. And offensive Linemen. I realize that the portal ends on January 16th, but as a lifelong LSU fan this is unheard of.

Rankings clearly don’t matter, never did, Indiana says hello. Hell, LSU had the number 1 portal class last year and went 7-6.
It depends on which recruiting service you look at. On 247 we are ranked #10. It’s all a crap shoot.

Started the day at 59th.
We are dropping like a bullet. We will keep shooting up the rankings during this window.
We will be top 5 when dust settles after 2nd window when OM players hit the portal.

I’m not saying every single player was asked to leave but I guarantee our staff told some guys to move on.
Additionally having looked at the portal rankings extensively in the past I find that they love to anchor to old recruiting rankings.

We are just getting started, that's why. The On3 ranking is based on those who left and are coming in.
Did you see the other teams around us?
Texas is at 52, Bama at 57, TN at 59, Michigan at 60...
You people need to educate yourselves on the process or just stop freaking out.

If I remember right from last year, 247 team ranking is based solely on the rankings of the the players signed from the portal, while On3 does a net ranking of the difference between the players lost to the portal and players signed. Because we lost so many, it will take a while to make up some of the ground for the net ranking.

He's looking at on3, where they subtract players lost. By these numbers we are massively down because we have had way more enter the portal than sign.
A person with a lick of common sense would understand that we are not even remotely close to being done, and these numbers will shift over time. OP seems to be lacking in that area.

And Texas is 52 according to those rankings. Houston and Oklahoma State are 7 and 8. Something about those rankings seem odd.

It makes perfect sense when you understand the difference in how each come up with their rankings. OP either doesnt, or is a massive vagina.
