The math is ridiculous.
If you have an average family receiving $332 in Snap benefits per month, you would have to have 162 families redeeming their entire benefit at the store.
The Jesula Variety store measured approximately 150 SF. Not a typo. The Saul Mixche store measured 500 SF.
You could do some really basic filtering of Federal dollars versus SF and find another 2,000 of these fraud centers nationwide.

Seems like there would be some annual or quarterly oversight by an outside agency. I guess those folks either accidentally or on purpose have their thumbs up their arses.

No, I think what they do is buy the card with something like drugs.
So you bring your $200 ebt card, get $100 worth of weed (maybe). They take your card and go buy $200 worth of meat for their restaurant, etc

Im certain thats a large part of the problem nationwide. You have "civil servants" who are doing the enrolling and the supposed checks and balances to ensure this does not happen.
Not only are they not checking, they are probably showing the whole neighborhood how to collect benefits. Just have your children listed has living with an unemployed relative and you guys split the benes.
