Abusing officials would at least get the crowd fired up and put butts in seats.

Your out of your mind if you think Dan Hurley leaves UCONN for LSU

Do you guys think LSU basketball can just go hire anyone they want?
We should take a swing at Self, Pitino, and Sampson while we're at it.

Actually yes. We have some prominent boosters that have had enough. And they will not fire NcMahon to hire another guy just like him.

Now that you mention it I’m sure we could get coach K to come out of retirement to coach

Unless Hurley hates UConn and desperately wants to leave (Which there is no indication of that being the case) he's no coming to LSU no matter how much the boosters wish her may or wish he might. This isn't football. Power conf. programs poaching coaches from other power conf. programs doesn't happen often.
Look no further than Kentucky. There is not a school in the country to who prioritizes basketball as much as Kentucky. Their donor base is as rabid about basketball as places like LSU, Alabama, Georgia, etc are with football. Two years ago the pushed Cal out. During their search there were articles/posts, etc indicating they were going after every big name in the NCAA and beyond (Billy Donovan). They ended up settling on their 7th or 8th choice, BYU's HC. The fanbase was not happy then and they are even more angry now.
Basketball coaches generally come from a few different avenues:
1. Jump from the mid-major ranks
2. "Catch a fallen star". A coach who was either fired prematurely for some sort of scandal or a once good coach who was let go for insufficient results.
3. Assistant coaches
In the SEC alone most of the coaches came from category 1: LSU, Alabama, A&M, Missouri, Miss. St, South Carolina, Florida, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt.
Others have gone the fallen star route: Arkansas (Cal pushed out at UK), Texas (Miller previously fired at Arizona), Tennessee (Barnes fired at Texas), Ole Miss (Beard fired at Texas)
Auburn went with No. 3 (S. Pearl promoted to replace his dad).
Only two schools in the league got their HC from another major conf. program: Georgia (White parachuted out of Florida before getting fired) and Kentucky (settled for 25th choice from BYU)
Hey, hiring a 2x national champion HC would be great...and then we wake up to reality

Bro, you need to drastically lower your expectations. Not an attractive job. Ideal scenario would be to find a up and coming, hungry young coach who can generate excitement like Wade.

If you think Dan Hurley turned down the Lakers to come coach at lsu, you definitely on crack.

What a bunch of Richards …… just trying to raise awareness on today’s hilarious Hurley news that I thought might get some laughs.
But when MM pain ends, replacing with a PERSONALITY will be priority.

Coulda had Sampson….. too dirty for sparkly clean LSU. Dale and company thought pathetic JJ was the answer.

This has to be a joke

Longest of shots or not, it’s worth picking up the phone. Throw the farm at him and make him say no. He seems like the kind of guy who would love to do it again at a non traditional power just to say FU to those who don’t like him.

There’s Rantards and then there’s you.

Might as well hire the corpse of Dr. James Naismith while we're at it

Yeah if the Lakers couldn't get him to leave UConn, LSU certainly can't. Hurley will leave UConn when he retires imo. He has UConn in title contention nearly every season, so I just don't see him ever leaving.

I would be happy with Bobby Hurley at this point. Just get McMahon out of there.
