We had a radio that looked like a juke box and my dad and I would listen to the game sitting in the hall in NOLA East. Feet on one wall and shoulders on the other. I remember many games, but lsu/bama w/ rain and no one crossing the 50 I’ll never forget. Always replaced the test tube transistors , but Katrina took that radio— not the memories.
Youngsters- fishing and hunting season seasons apply and can throw in travel ball for baseball.

I grew up off Downman Road near Morrison Road in the 1950’s and 1960’s. My dad and I would listen to John Ferguson call LSU games on WWL radio on Saturday nights. Good memories.

Eagle ?? 98.1 baby. Crank up that radio and mute Gary and Verne.

Staple for me since the 90s.

Used to listen as a kid who grew up in the 90’s and not many games were televised. I think the first game I remember watching on TV was the upset over Florida in 1997.

I had to listen to the 2006 LSU-Ole Piss game on the LSU Sports Radio Network as a high school senior.

I grew up listening to the Tigers in the 60 and 70's on WWL.

I moved to Cleveland in the 1990's and would listen to the Tigers on WRNO worldwide (short wave radio).

I once even picked up an LSU night game in my car radio on a hill in Western NY State.

I remember listening to my first LSU game on AM radio. We were driving home from Memphis and my mother allowed my to crawl up behind the back seat and put my ear to the speaker.

WWL Big 870. None of theses kids today will ever understand the hate for Ole Piss growing up in the 70’s. I hope they never win shite.

—An older friend grew up on Long Island but became an LSU fan listening to the Tigers night games on clear channel WWL. He was hooked for life.

Growing up in the 70s thats all there was. I remember a few TV games in the 80s before I was a student and went to every home game for 7 years.

Hunting/fishing/driving has caused me to listen to many games on radio. We have been blessed to have 3 announcers in a row over the past 5 decades that were/are excellent. Geaux Tigers.
