They put in two teams worse than ND (Alabama and Oklahoma) so they did not get it right.

I am so glad ND didn't get in. The built in rule for ND next season is BS.

Bama/OU/JMU/Tulane weren't good.
You could almost pull straws to replace them from a lot of meh teams though, so it almost doesn't matter outside of the whole ND thing.

Nd could have easily made it to finals as well. They were very dangerous. Never been a fan of them but give them credit this year. It’s so odd the one time they maybe were real contenders and get left out.

Oh well get a real schedule.

ND was a legit Title contender, Alabama and OU never were. The hate for ND on here was so irrational.

You could argue ND was the better team against Miami and TAMU if people actually watched their last minute losses by a combined 4 points.

ND was screwed over by the Committee a week before the final ranking by doing nothing wrong but sitting at home as their season was over watching Alabama get blasted by Georgia.

All ND had to do was beat ATM or Miami.
They failed both times. Join a frigging conference

Wasn’t there a Miami/Notre Dame head to head to reference?

Miami clearly belonged, how many of the 5 SEC teams did?

Bama got arse blasted by the worst team in the ACC. How is that any better?

This has to be a bitter pill to swallow for notre dame, because they legit could win the natty.

Oh well, should've joined a conference

Because Bama beat UGA in Athens. ND didn't have a signature win. If they'd quit being so arrogant, and schedule better teams, or join a conference, we wouldn't be having this discussion. Playing Purdue, Stanford, Navy, and Syracuse sure is a gauntlet.

One good thing about the expanded playoff is I just can’t find the energy to really care if some top 10ish program gets left out for another top 10ish program.

Could other low seeds find success like Miami sure, but it’s not like the old days where #2 or 3 both had undefeated seasons and strong arguments.

Every single year so far two of the teams the committee picks makes the championship. How can anyone still doubt them?

The conversation after the SECCG should have been 2/3 out of Miami, ND, and Bama, and it should have been Miami and ND in. But MUH SEC!!!!

I don't want to live in a world where two teams from Indiana are playing for the college football championship. Thankfully, I don't have to. At least not this year.

It’s not hate, it’s simply that OU and Bama had better resumes than Notre Dame. Notre Dame’s only argument was that they lost close.
