Have some clients flying in who want to take some home but not have to go to Nola.

Where should I direct them?

I'm partial to the king cakes at Calandro's, me. Anthony's is probably the best hot muffuletta in town.

If you’re heading to Cannatella’s, they have St Bruno Bakery king cakes in the store right now. Maybe check ahead when you go so they’re in stock.

The best Muffuletta I have found in Baton Rouge is at the Iverstine deli.

King cake - Ambrosia or find some place that brings in NOLA cakes (Bet-r or mardigras place at old Cortana mall)

Cannatellas is a very good muff.

Robert's is on Highland, about a half block west of Kenilworth Blvd, behind Superior Grill. They're out of New Orleans and they have a selection of other New Orleans King Cakes.. but the almond wedding cake is the best. good luck.

Anthony's Deli for the Muffuletta, and Calandro's for the king cake. They are located near each other and would make the perfect stops. There may be slightly better king cakes around, but Calandros will have plenty in stock and several different flavors if that is what they want.

Looks like Robert's Fresh Market is now a Matherne's. I'm not sure when this happened, but I'm pretty sure they won't be getting the Almond Wedding Cake King Cake.

The wedding's apparently called off.
