Give me a great coaching staff and a bunch of hungry dogs. When we finally get five OL I guarantee you they will play better than that mess we had last year.

Ole Miss didn’t have top 10 classes when Lane was there. Who the hell was Trinidad Chambliss 10 months ago? I’m sure Ole Miss fans were stoked to get a DII player.

Not portal related, but the HS ratings are broken. A few kids are obvious five stars early, and even some of those the services get wrong. The rest of the players they move around based on which schools are recruiting them and which fan bases they can juice for clicks.

I loved the quote attributed to Cignetti concerning the portal..."...looking for production over potential."

A lot of the indiana players came from small schools. They seemed to do ok with them.

HS ratings are not broken. Its just in this day and age HS kids are not as important. Because a 2 star 24 year old is better than a 5 star 18 year old

Chambliss wasn't highly touted but Ole Miss' portal rankings have been #2, #1, and #4 the last 3 seasons per 247 rankings. The classes have had lots of highly rated guys.

If you want to feel better about 4 and 5 stars, go see 2019 LSU.

Indiana is beating teams with 15% of the talent that those teams in 2019 had. They aren't a super team.

If we had a Mendoza or any competent QB committed I would feel better about our portal situation.
