Cignetti could be the next coming of Saban

For real! A dynasty could be in the making. That team is so well coached, recruits see this and they’ll be flocking to Indiana. He may be able to do what Saban couldn’t, flourish in the NIL era.
ETA- and here’s the kicker……. he doesn’t even need to have the best roster to win, that’s how good of a coach he is. Imagine his team full of 4 and 5 stars.

Generational QB helps
Not crowning him with the current state of CFB and NIL

He is great but he has to show he can do it when his roster isn’t filled with upper class men. His team is a well oiled machine and he doesn’t tolerate little mistakes, just like Nick, but this is a different era. If he can continue to pick and choose from the portal, get disciplined upper class men, and sprinkle in the 4 and 5 stars, he may well be on his way.

If you want to crown him, then crown him.
Other teams will likely try and copy the Indiana method of roster building to varying degrees of success. What does Cignetti do for offense and defense that is working so well compared to his opponents?

Yeah but he’s 64. He’s got about 10 years max
Saban won 6 championships over 13 years, played in 9 championship games.

The dynasty days are over. Saban had NIL all to himself for those titles.

Washington did this just a few seasons ago when they made their run to the title.

Next season will be the tell.

When will it not? With the transfer portal he can load up again with a bunch of physically developed seniors

He’s 64. And Mendoza has been an aberration this year. If Cig does it next year with Hoover, who I like, then I’ll get on board with you.

2019 doesn't count then as it had a "generational QB".
This argument is so tiring.
Dabo only managed to get two generational QBs to play for him.

Cignetti is 12-9 in playoff games as a head coach across three divisions of CFB. He hasn't won a national championship.
Let's dial back the Saban talk.

And what has LSU done since 2019 besides literally blow another chance with JD and absolutely no defense?
