Sam Leavitt in 2 career regular season starts vs SEC

Leavitt faced Mississippi State in both 2024 and 2025
His combined stats were 20 for 42 for 151 yards, 1 Touchdown and 2 INTs.
Leavitt added another 151 rush yards and 2 TDs
A third SEC game against Texas in 2024, he completed just 24 of 46 for 222 and no scores. He was without projected high draft pick WR Jordyn Tyson this game.
His 65.8 QBR in 2025 gives me pause
However, his 80.0 2024 QBR would give me hope.
About this Longstreet fella now?

K I’ll make sure to tell lane

Yes that small sample size is very indicative of how he will do with LSU’s talent around him.
Also holding the SEC out as some juggernaut now is pretty laughable considering the SEC is now at best the 2nd best conference

He’s an incredibly unpolished passer that the Rant won’t be patient enough to give time to develop.

It’s the sample size I have to work with so it’s the sample size I looked at.
Raleek Brown, Jordyn Tyson, Cam Skatteboo … you acting like Leavitt is transferring from Prairie View A&M

How did Joe Burrow and Jayden do against SEC teams their 1st two seasons?

He played on that bad foot until he couldn’t
Guys, he’s the top ranked quarterback in the portal I mean, stop being silly

My man every QB available or that was available has bad stats at some point or another. I mean I’m sure you’d have loved for LSU to have gotten Sorsby yet he never actually beat a team worth a shite. And didn’t look good against the better teams. Demond Williams had pathetic stats against numerous good teams he faced.
At some point you just gonna have to trust Lane

Who do you recommend at QB?
Posted on 1/11/26 at 6:36 am to chadr07
Correct.
They all have poor stats in some game or another. Unless they have no experience.
You just surround whoever it is with even better players and coaching.

You serious, Clark?
The measure is by the bottom half of the conference. The bottom of the SEC can beat or give hell to any team on any given Saturday.
In the BigTen, BigXII and ACC, you have one, maybe two, conference games each year where there’s anything actually at risk. In the SEC, there are almost zero sure wins week in, week out.

I have posted before and will again. They had 105 scholarships and the SEC had 85. They signed 20 more portal players compared to the SEC. I see Indiana has 45 players with 4 years of experience. That’s the difference.
We got that stupid Greg Sankey rule repealed and are at 105 with everybody else now.

Comprehensive analysis. Well done.

Wisey, Leavitt is HIM. Respectfully

I hope so
I thought he played really well against TTech this year.
Truth is, I’ve wanted Longstreet since Lane was announced. I’ve been enamored with him and St Clair out of HS last year. So I’m probably biased.

It’s 11 vs. 11
Let the guy line up with 10 other SEC caliber players against SEC competition and let’s circle back.
