Quick Release. Loves to compete. Teammates like playing with him. Deceptively strong arm. Makes decisive cuts in traffic. A bit of a gunslinger, but that will improve with experience and better coaching. Played small school competition, but you can see why the staff likes him. Geaux Tigers.

Lane wants him for a reason. A game manager seems a bit different under Lane than the typical definition.

Deceptively strong arm?

Kid tossed one from his own 15 to the opposing 25 in one highlight…. I call that just a good ole fashion cannon. Nothing deceptive about it!

60yd actually, which is creeping up on the upper tier of college QBs in game situations. I’d be willing to bet he could get it closer to 70 with no defense to worry about.

I saw that highlight and I saw another highlight he literally threw the ball 70 yards with a Hail Mary type windup. Don't know if there was wind or not. BTW, everyone keeps saying "trust Lane Kiffin". I trusted Brian Kelly and look how that turned out. I trust my own eyes watching HIGHlights and yes they are highlights. But speed is speed...arm strength is arm strength...shifty running is shifty running...and accuracy is accuracy. The competition is totally irrelevant for those factors above. Only how he reads defenses is relevant to competition.

My impression is that he was the small school kid who had to do everything for his team and got by on athleticism and is now able to focus and learn how to be a qb
